Italian Soccer Serie A hosted by Anna italia joins all Italians to celebrate the 150 Years of Unity of Italy - 150 Anni Unita' d'Italia.  Unity of Italy officially formed on March 17, 1861 with the proclamation of the Kingdom of Italy   in Turin, Piedmonte.   Vittorio Emanuele the first King of Italy with Torino as capital of italy. 

On March 17, 2011 we celebrate the 150 years and my heart is filled with joy for my beloved Italia.  Yep, the Italy of my great grandparents once immigrating in America and which is ingrained in my heart.. It reminds me of my years at the Universita' degli Studi di Firenze where I took courses on the History of Italy and the Risorgimento.  Viva l'Italia.. L'Italia del nostro cuore.  Congrats Italia mia.  It's an honor now to have this blog Italian Soccer Serie A where I share my soccer passion for the Italian Serie A with all of you.   Thanks guys and join me to sing the Happy Birthday to Italy.     

I watch these videos and tears flow with a mixed of emotions, but so proud of my Italian-American heritage. My family comes from Lago di Como from the Lombardia region which is located in the North of Italy. Right now, I feel like taking a plane and go to Italy to celebrate at my favorite piazza... "Piazza della Signoria" in Florence.  Tanti bei ricordi!!!!
