Let me thank first beloved Juventus Captain Alessandro Del Piero for making this video and clarifying to the fans that he is with Juventus not for the money, but for the love he feels for the club. Wow, just awesome. I watched the video made by Del Piero where he talks to his fans... hello.. you get it.. to his fans... "including myself." to tell us about his commitment for football, Juventus and his fans. All the rumors about his renewing his contract, just love how Del Piero clarified all doubts by emphasizing that he signed his first contract with Juventus in blank, and that he will do so gain in this last contract of his career. Oh, gosh, I have to stand up and and salute Del Piero. Bravo Capitano. Ti voglio tanto bene!
Here is the letter from Del Piero to his fans as appeared on his official website alessandrodelpiero.com on Friday February 25, 2011.Hi all, I think the right moment has come to talk directly to you, guys, you, who have been following me with a lot of passion for years, day by day. For some time I've been reading some comments linked to my name about situations and behavior that have absolutely nothing to do with me and this upsets me really.
A profound love for football, Juventus jersey and team's fans have been always the reason and engine of my career. Not money: I've earned a lot in my life and I could have earned even more, playing somewhere else if I accepted the offers made to me numerous times even in the latest period.
I've talked to the President, not about the financial aspects, but about my will to play also next season, about my determination, professionalism, my passion, my wish to win more, the wish that has been always within me, from the Viareggio tournament to the World championship, leave apart Serie B.
I do care to point out that my ties to this jersey and to my fans can not be measured in numbers. I signed my first Juventus contract blank,and I will sign blank the last contract of my career wearing this jersey.
