Here  is the Italian Serie A Week 26 Roundup - Twenty-sixth Round on Saturday February 19 and Sunday February 20,  2011. Making a super comeback in first class are INTER  who --despite protests for the only goal of the match -- are now with 50 points. One thing for sure is that "Inter" are seriously among the serious contender for the Scudetto.  AC Milan are owners of their own destiny and continue as sole leaders thanks to the winning goal by forward Alexandre Pato in the 82nd minute.

I will say the biggest upset was the defeat from AS Roma at the Luigi Ferraris when they were winning 3-0.  Genoa making a super comeback to revert the result and  winning 4-3 leaving the Roman gladiators puzzled as to "what happened?" The fourth consecutive defeat causing Roma coach Claudio Ranieri to resign.
AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri resigns after the defeat against Genoa.

Bologna seeing the "light for salvation" after defeating Palermo with the goal by Daniele Paponi in the 90th minute.  Bologna now 10 points away the 18th position.  Different story with Palermo every week looking as going down the table.   Palermo midfielder Giulio Migliaccio played his 300th professional game. Big problems for AS ROMA as fans losing their patience and contesting not only the management, but also the team.

Juventus remaining in 10 players in the 12th minute after Referee Mazzoleni sent off goalkeeper Gigi Buffon for a handball blocking Davide Di Michele right footed shot.  Lecce captain Giuseppe Vives sent off for 2 yellow cards in the 69th minute. Both captains out..... interesting.

Inter  is the team scoring most goals up to Week 26 with 47 goals followed by AC Milan and Palermo having scored 44 goals each. AS Bari with the least scoring having only 14 goals.

Serie A leader on Week 26 is AC Milan with 55 points followed by Napoli with 52.  Last position is for AS Bari with 15 points. Top scorer is Napoli forward Edinson Cavani with 20 goals followed by Udinese forward Antonio  with 18 goals.
