What was supposed to be the giant Birthday celebration for Lazio celebrating 111 years it became a nightmare with a home defeat.
Lazio second place with 34 points. Lazio losing the second position after the upset by Lecce defeating them at the Olimpico. Napoli the other contender jumped from the third to the second position after defeating Juventus with a hat-trick from Edison Cavani.
Lazio starting with the wrong foot as the first goal for Lecce is an own goal by Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera in the 39th minute. A right footed shot from long range by Jeda towards the right post and while trying to clear the ball hits on the back of Muslera going towards the goal and is an own goal.
Top scorers for Lazio are forward Sergio Floccari and Hernanes with 5 goals each. Top scorer for Lecce is forward Davide Di Michele with 4 goals.
