Italy Head Coach Cesare Prandelli called up 23 players for the International friendly game Italy vs Romania on Wednesday November 17 2010 in Klagenfurt at the Hypo-Arena Stadium at 20.30.    As expected, Pradelli not calling up Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano instead calling up Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli.  

Among the news are the called up from Palermo defender Federico Balzaretti, Brescia midfielder Diamanti, Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma, and Genoa defender Andrea Ranocchia.

The three players returning to the National team are Juventus midfielder Alberto Aquilani, Inter defender Davide Santon and Balotelli.



 

Players are scheduled to meet on Monday November 15 2010 before 12:30 at the Technical Center of Coverciano.  First training will be at 15.00.  Tuesday morning training session and in the afternoon departure to Austria.
 
Last game from the Italian National team was for the EURO 2012 Qualification Italy vs Serbia in Genoa on Tuesday October 12, 2010 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium where the game was suspended for violence.  The result given to Italy 3 - 0 - a forfeit victory.
