Ciro Ferrara is the new Italy Under 21 coach replacing Pierluigi Casiraghi as of October 22, 2010

It's official.  The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) announces that the new coach of Italy Under 21 is Ciro Ferrara as of Friday, October 22, 2010.   The announcement was made by the president of the Italian Football Federation Giancarlo Abete.  The contract  is for the 2011-2013 to lead the Under 21.

The Federation met in the past days with Club Italia President Demetrio Albertini and  the Technical Coordinator of the youth Arrigo Sacchi.

Ciro Ferrara will have as vice coach Angelo Peruzzi.    The official presentation will be made in a press conference  on Monday, October 25 at the Federation.
 
Italy Under 21 were eliminated from the 2011 UEFA European Under 21 competition and the 2012 Olympics.
