The "Divine Ponytail" of Italian calcio, Roberto Baggio, has returned from a figurative and literal wilderness. He retired in2004 and has rarely been seen or heard. He makes annual hunting trips to Argentina and has appeared in a few benefit friendlies. Mostly, Baggio has maintained a very low profile up until recently.
Last month, he took coaching badges at the famed Italian Federation school at Coverciano outside of Florence. There were rumors that Baggio would take some type of role; however, few expected it to be so high: President of the Technical Sector for the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).

Pietro, thank you for yourcomment.
Roberto Baggio's appointment represents a new way of thinking at the Italian Federation. Similar to Mister Prandelli's roster for the Cote d'Ivoire friendly in London, change was necessary. I hope that both men do great things for the entire Azzurri project.
