I went to see the Argentina game at an Argentinean restaurant to get into the World Cup fever!  Battling the summer heat to go watch this big - match was worth it.  Argentina 3 - 1 Mexico

During all the first half, it was like being in the stadium constantly cheering "cantos." The half -hour before the game everyone sang with great energy. By the second half, a good 10 minutes went by in complete silence. It coincided with Mexico's possession of the ball, everyone having had a big lunch, feeling the summer heat, and feeling satisfied with Argentina's 3 goals.  Good to see the Serie A player AS Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso being a key player and Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore getting few minutes to play too.

Thankfully the fan with the drums did different beats every minute or so in the second half. Talented guy. I took most of the pictures before the game and in the first half. By the second half I put my camera aside and enjoyed the world cup fever.  It really did feel like a big family getting together at Christmas. Everyone was nice, and respectful and talked because we were all united by one team- Argentina.

I was also impressed to see most of the fans wearing the current Adidas 2009-11 Argentina home shirt. I was wearing the 2006 Adidas Argentina home shirt.  Time to buy a new one! I will add it to my list of soccer jerseys to buy. Mine had the black stripes over the arms sleeves, and the top shoulder area is all light blue. The new 2010 Argentina jersey has a white round neck and the light blue and white stripes continue over the shoulder area.

The chants I heard more were the

Vamos Vamos Argentina.....
Oooh Argentina este sentimiento no puedo parar.

I will put a video clip tomorrow.

Ready to keep singing Vamos, Vamos Argentinaaaaaa vamos vamos a ganarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Argentina fans crazy for Carlos Tevez and his goaaaaallllllllllllllllllllsssssssssssssss

Fans jumping all over the plac and taking photos from players and everywhere just having fun....

Univision, Telemundo, and Channel 7 went to the Argentina Restaurant to cover the reactions of the fans.

Very few Mexico fans after the defeat while Argentina fans celebrating the victory.  No revenge, but Argentina eliminating AGAIN Mexico.

Is Argentina winning the World Cup?... Let's take this trophy home...

Here are some Empanadas Argentinasssss have a good oneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
