I am including also the photos of the Italian national team bus departing from Le RibaLodge in Centurion, near Pretoria,South Africa on Friday, June 25, 2010. The pullman with the logo "Il nostro Azurro nel cielo d'Africa" However, the Italian Azzurro (blue) turning into a dark black sky with the humiliating elimination from the 2010 World Cup in the first round by a newcomer team making their debut in the World Cup "SLOVAKIA." Slovakia3 - 2 Italy ending in the last position from Group F with only 2 points.
Yeah.. Sad to admit it and this is what makes this defeat even more painful, not to mention the bad three games where there were not even a shadow of the 2006 defending World Cup Champions.
Gosh, it pains me a lot even writing this post while watching these photos, videos and at the same time I have the TV on following the program "Notti Mondiali." All the critics, follow up and highlights barely having something positive about this whole nightmare. Point is that the Azzurri really owe us big time and they urgently need to make a comeback for the 2012 Euro. Millions of fans frustrated with this shameful performance.
Not all players were in the mood of giving declarations. Few, like Juventus Simone Pepe mentioned to be a bit worried on returning to Italy, but it was right that the fans expressed their frustration. "This adventure went badly but we always gave the most we could."
A few Italian fans at the airport expressed their disappointment. "It's a scandal, Shame, it's shameful."
