Wow, guys, turnover in the Italian National team and Italy head coach Marcello Lippi taking strong decisions by dropping Alberto Gilardino and Claudio Marchisio from the starting line up in the upcoming match against Slovakia on June 24.  The projected formation against Slovakia is the 4-3-3 formation  with Gennaro Gattuso, Daniele De Ross, and Riccardo Montolivo.

This is what is going on with the Italian National Team on Tuesday, June 22, 2010.

-  11:00 - 12:30 p.m.  Last training of the Italian National team  open to the press.  The training on Wednesday will be open to the press only the first 15 minutes.

-  Lippi already tried the 4-2-3-1 formation against Paraguay and the 4-4-2 formation against New  Zealand.  Lippi practicing today with the 4-3-3 formation for the match against Slovakia.

-  AC Milan midfielder completing for the first time the entire training with the squad including the practice match game.  Pirlo was out since June 3 after his injury.

-  Practice match game  Lippi testing the midfield with 3, first group Gennaro Gattuso Daniele De Rossi, and Riccardo Montolivo.   Second group Andrea Pirlo, Mauro Camoranesi, and Claudio Marchisio.
