Just before the game Greece coach  Otto Rehhagel embraces Argentina head coach Diego Maradona  both wishing each other good luck and wanting to win the game.


Starting the game and you see Greece and Genoa defender Sokratis  Papastathopoulos marking Argentina forward Lionel Messi.

In the11th minute, Sokratis Papastathopoulos commits a foul on Messi bringing  him down .. free kick for Argentina......

In the 18th minute, Argentina knocking at the doors... Sergio "El Kun Aguero"  passing three Greece defenders who seems like opening the "red carpet" to let him pass...  oh  gosh.. oh well..   Aguero coming  from the left side and after much  effort... ends in that,,, just effort... 

In the 19th minute a super cowabunga missile by Sebastian Veron from about 30 years forcingGreece goalkeeper Alexandros  Tzorvas  to tip over and Argentina close rto score. 

  First yellow card of the game in the 31st minute for Greece Katsouranis after a foul on Sergio Aguero.
 
In the 33rd minute, Loukas Vyntra blocking the shot from  Sergio Kun Aguero....
 
Oopss things are changing... in the 38th minute South Korea equalizing the score with Nigeria after a goal by  Lee Jung Soo. It means that with this result Greece will be out.......

In the 88th minute .....  What a beauty.. a beautiful goallll by a legendary footballer MARTIN PALERMOOOOOOOO  passing Greece and Bologna defender Vangelis Moras  oh boy, am I happy or what!!!  You bet I am super happy crying for joy watching the face from Martin Palermo celebrating his goal.  I have so many good memories from Palermo's career in Boca Juniors... wow...  A right footed shot and bam bam here it goes blasting Greece goalkeeper in the lower right corner. and it is like a prize for all the  wonderful moments Palermo has given to Argentina in the past. Bravo for Palermoooooo  The whole thing starting from Messi's shot and Tzorvas clearing but on the rebound there it was Martin Palermo to deliver this goal to the joy of millions of fans.
