Covering the 2010 World Cup South Africa from an Italian Perspective

          Spain 0 - 1 Switzerland
                                                             52' Gelson Fernandes

It's the first time that Switzerland defeated Spain.   A surprise for many who  were  almost sure of Spain victory until Switzerland  wrote  another script.    There are no Serie A players, but 4 Italy Serie A players with Switzerland.  Hence, I am happy for our Serie A players Stephen Lichtsteiner, Reto Ziegler, Gokhan Inler and Marco Padalino, winning this game.  In absence of Captain Alexander Frei for injury, it is  Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler taking  the armband.

I am watching  the  after match news in the French channel TV5 and let me tell you it is a rocking big time celebration covering  Switzerland celebration.  Switching  channels from Spain, US, and  wow... I am so happy for our Serie A guys, especially for  Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler being the Captain.
