Tuesday, June 15, 2010 - The day after  the debut in the  2010 World Cup game against Paraguay ending with a draw, Italy National football team moving from Cape Town to the general headquarter of the Azzurri in Centurion, South Africa.

Immediately, Italy head coach Marcello Lippi  reassuring the fans after  their debut,

"We have to improve, and I'm sure that we will. However up until now I haven't yet seen a single team in perfect form. Before rushing to any judgment we should remember Paolo Rossi in 1982 - We will repay our  fans"

I agree with Lippi, so far,  I have not seen a single team in perfect shape and not even talk about the lack of goals, except Germany  scoring 4 goals.  We are in the beginning of the World Cup, but  it is not  a super display of  technique and  super shows.  True,  Italy struggle and we even risk losing, but also true we could have own it too.

Lippi arguing about being tired after the  transfer from Cape Town to  Centurion.  The squad arriving at 5 .m. and Lippi waking up at 8 a.m.  Lippi, despite the critics, say that he is satisfied and happy  watching  the squad growing. Point is that Lippi stand firm  on the results after trainings verifying  good  individual performances.  Sure, Lippi also highlighting  that he   expects great things from the attackers that as yet haven't convinced anyone: even Paolo Rossi in Spain in1982, he says, didn't convince anyone at the start of the World Cup, bu he made the difference.

Lippi compared  this debut against Paraguay to that of 4 years ago against Ghana on June 12, 2006.  Yet, the only difference is that on that debut Italy won  2-0 with goals by Andrea Pirlo and Vincenzo Iaquinta.  In this debut  Italy conceded a goal to Paraguay by Antolin Alcaraz.

The topic of the day is about the condition of Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.  Now, bad news start... Italy national football team doctor Professor Enrico Castellacci not giving any immediate date for recovery.   Buffon, has a back injury, a sciatic nerve.

However, Lippi  when asked about Buffon tried to  ease tension and not  making a big deal of the injury. In a joking  response, Lippi responded, “Buffon?  He has not wake up yet.  These youngsters today  sleep until late. "

Italy Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon Back Injury with Sciatic Nerve and His World Cup Might Be Over. Will replacement Marchetti survive?

Here is the thing guys,  who will be the  VICE Buffon?  By now, indications  are that the second goalkeeper is Federico Marchetti, but will Lippi   try  Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis  in one game  too?

Lippi says, "I was pleased with the impact we've made on the World Cup.   I'mhappy with the progress of 70 percent of the team. We are improvingathletically, and we will continue to improve in every area. There weremany positive things to take from yesterday's game, mong which is theconviction with which they faced up to the opening match. It wasn't easybecause there were seven players making their World Cup debut."

Regarding Italy midfielder  Andrea Pirlo, Lippi  saying that he will not play against New Zealand.
