Lazio fans divided on  whether they rather see Lazio lose the game against Inter to avoid helping city rivals AS Roma winning the Scudetto.

There is a problem if Lazio "purposely" lose the match against Inter because there are only 2 more games after and Lazio still not saved from relegation.

Simply put, Lazio will take a big risk  whether losing voluntarily or not against Inter if Atalanta defeat Bologna.  What does Atalanta got to do? Big time...

Lazio have 40 points six points away from the relegation area seeing Atalanta in the 18th position with 34 points.  If Atalanta defeat Bologna and win their remaining  2 games. Lazio might be relegated if winning the last 2 games. Yep. how is that?  Let me tell you... if Lazio and Atalanta  end  the season with the same points, guess who go to the Serie B?   ta.ta.. ta. ta.... LAZIO!  Hum? what? Really?  Yep.

Decision will be made based on their direct counters where  Atalanta on aggregate result win.
 Lazio 1  - 0 Atalanta.
 Atalanta 3 - 0 Lazio.

Now you see why Lazio cannot lose against Inter "on purpose."  .... First, Lazio must think  on their own salvation and then the rest.....   your say...

Lazio last 2 games are against Livorno and Udinese.
Atalanta last 2 games are against Napoli and Palermo

 
Lazio already defeated Inter in the Supercoppa Italia on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Peking.
Inter 1 - 2 Lazio .
