 Countdown... after this week there are only 4 more games to end the2009 - 2010 Italy Serie A Season.

The race for the Scudetto still among 3 teams, but realistically speaking is more a  2 race with AS Roma having 71 points, FC Inter 70 points, and AC Milan 64 points. Inter defeating Juventus in the Derby D'Italia overtaking AS Roma, but  then Roma winning  the Derby della Capitale against Lazio and taking back the leadership.  Talking about excitement!!!!  Practically, the defeat of  AC Milan against Sampdoria might alrady end their dream to keep racing for the Scudetto.

Regarding the race for the 4th position Sampdoria  overtake Palermo.  Palermo with a draw against Cagliari while Sampdoria  defeating  AC Milan and now  sole leader in the 4th position.

Moving farther from the relegation area are Udinese and Lazio.  In the relegation area Atalanta 34 points, Siena 30 and Livorno with 26 points,heavily contested by Livorno fans . Losing today against Chievo puts Livorno practically in Serie B.

Inter - Juventus:  In the 75th minute bam bam bam front long range making a show there you see Maicon with a right footed shot on the air from outside the  box and despite Buffon  stretching the ball ends in the top left corner...immediate close up from Mourinho, players, celebration...  In the 92nd minute Inter closing the game with a goal by Samuel Eto'o  the ball was by Muntari, but Eto'o seeing the  chance  bam bam bam  and  Inter gets the 3 points...  immediately, Eto'o removes his jersey to celebrate and Referee Damato gives him a yellow card

Saturday,April 17, 2010 - Italy Serie A Week 34

Chievo - LivornoIn the 28th minute, it is Chievo Verona forward Sergio Pellissier to put the team ahead after an assist by Luciano.  Pellissier making a right footed shot coming from the right side and to the joy of the fans blasting AS Livorno goalkeeper Alfonso De Lucia in the bottom right corner. Just towards the end and the final punch for Livorno!  In the 88th minute, it is forward Elvis Abbruscato delivering a left footed shot blasting Livorno goalkeeper Alfonso De Lucia in the bottom right corner to secure the victory while Chievo fans raising their chants to thank the squad.

Sunday, April 18, 2010 - Italy Serie A Week 34


Lazio 1 - 2 AS Roma
: In the 14th minute, a long range assist by Cristian Ledesma to forward Tommaso Rocchi.. wow, guys,  AS Roma goalkeeper anticipates but  Rocchi does not hesitate and bam bam bam a right footed shot  from the center all the way to the bottom right corner...  Immediate joy from Lazio fans and Rocchi celebrating towards the fans...

Udinese 1 - 1 Bologna :  A bad start for Udinese, in the 3rd minute an own goal by Christian Zapata with a right footed shot while trying to clear danger after  forward Marco Di Vaio  tried to head the ball. In the 90th minute, an assist by Kwadwo Asamoah to forward Antonio Di Natale delivering a right footed shot blasting Bologna goalkeeper in the bottom right corner. Wow, this is this the 24th goal of the season from Di Natale still the top scorer of the Serie A.

Sampdoria 2 - 1 AC Milan
: In the 20th  minute, following a corner conceded by Reto Ziegler.  An assist by Amanntino Mancini finding in the right spot forward Marco Borriello to head the ball from the center blasting Sampdoria goalkeeper Marco Storari in the bottom right corner.  In the 53rd minute, Referee Rizzoli not only giving a red card to defenderDaniele Bonera, but also conceding the penalty to Sampdoria.  Guys, this one isrightly  so.. Bonera with a bad foul on Antonio Cassano bringing him down insidethe penalty  box.   Well, taking the  peanlty spot is Cssano himself....  ready, set...  gooooo Cassano converting the penalty with a fight footed shotdespite the stretching from goalkeeper Dida in the bottom left corner. In the 90th minute the slap for Milan and the paradise for Sampdoria.  Yep! Despite Milan battling with 10 men, the courage from Sampdoria pursuing the dream for the 4th position was stronger.  An assist by Daniele Mannini  with across to forward Giampaolo Pazzini and bam bam bam from close range Pazziniheading the ball defeating  AC Milan goalkeeper Dida in the top left corner.

AS Bari 1 - 2 Napoli: In the 28th minute, an assist by Marek Hamsik to forward Ezequiel Lavezzi coming from outside the box to deliver a right footed shot and there you go a gol in the top left corner.  In the 57th minute, Napoli  celebrating the second goal by Ezequiel Lavezzi in the match!  Lavezzi delivering a right  footed shot blasting Bari goalkeeper Gillet in the  top left corner.  In the 75th minute, Napoli shortening the distance.  An assist by Edgar Alvarez finding Sergio Almiron ready to head the ball from the center blasting Napoli goalkeeper De Sanctis in the bottom left corner.

Atalanta 2 - 1  Fiorentina: In the 6th minute, an assist by Jaime Valdes to Ferreira Pinto for a perfect headed goal from close range defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper in the top let corner.

Cagliari 2 - 2 Palermo: In the 28th minute an assist by Andrea Lazzarri to Andrea Cossu delivering a right footed shot coming from outside the box blasting Palermo goalkeeper Sirigu in the top right corner. The joy for Cagliari fans and a headache for Palermo. In the 87th minute, an assist by Alessandro Matri   to  Jeda delivering a right footed shot from the center and there you go, Cagliari increasing the goals while fans celebrating at the Sant'Elia.  Ooops.. mamma mia.. you won't believe it guys, but a minute later.. in the 88th minute Palermo shortening the distance.  Yep. An assist  by Mattia Cassani to forward Fabrizio Miccoli making a left footed shot from close range blasting Cagliari goalkeeper in the bottom left corner.  wow, wow, wow. Palermo not giving up and in the 90th minute, forward Abel Hernandez equalizing the score from close range blasting Cagliairi goalkeeper in the bottom left corner.

Catania 2 - 2 Siena: In the 11th minute, a headed assist by Marco Biagianti to forward Maxi Lopez delivering a right footed shot blasting Siena goalkeeper Curci in the top right corner. In the 49th minute, an assist by Abdel Ghezzal to Massimo Maccarone  with a headed shot from close range  lasting  Catania goalkeeper in the top left corner. Get this one... not even a minute, and Catania scoring  in the 50th minute. An assist by Maxi Lopez to Maro Biagianti delivering a right footed shot  all teh way to the bottom left corner.  In the 69th minute, a headed assist by Alexandros Tziolis following a corner to Simone Vergassola delivering  a right footed shot to equalize the score in the bottom right corner.

Parma 2 - 3 Genoa: In the 33rd minute, wow, guys, a beautiful goal by Argentinian forward Rodrigo Palacio because his teammate  slips but he ran fast to catch the ball and there you go a right footed shot  blasting Parma goalkeeper in the bottom right corner.
