11 Suspended Players by the Sporting Judge Gianpaolo Tosel after the Italian Serie A Week 27, "Lazio forward Mauro Zarate a fine of 10,000 euro for Swearing at Referee Brighi"

Italy Sporting Judge Gianpaolo Tosel suspending 11 players after the Italian Serie A Week 27 games.  Most affected is Lazio forward Mauro Zarate with 2 ban suspension and a heavy fine of €10,000 euros after his protesting, swearing at Referee Christian Brighi when sent off in the 77th minute during the match Sampdoria 2 - 1 Lazio on Sunday, March 7, 2010.  Zarate left the field in tears realizing his error and even his apologies after the match did not lessen his sanction.  A different story is for Lazio coach Edy Reja also sent off by Referee Brighi. The Sporting Judge  did not suspend Reja, just a warming and a fine of 8,000 euros.

According to the statement of the Lega Calcio's official website, "A two-game ban and €10,000 fine for Lazio player Mauro Zarate after have expressed insulting comments to the referee following his red card on 32 minutes, and for having challenged the decision with an excessive attitude."

This is a bad situation for Lazio who after losing the match went down to the 18th position of the Italian Serie A Table, which is in the relegation zone.
