A super clash!  Just imagine a common player... a roller coaster of emotion with former Manchester United Star "DAVID BECKHAM" now playing for AC Milan.  It will be the first time that Beckham will play against Manchester United wearing the Milan jersey.  The match is for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.  The first leg result not positive for AC Milan losing at San Siro Stadium on February 16, 2010.  The mission now is to defeat Manchester United at Old Trafford at least with 2 goals without conceding.

Reactions from AC Milan coach Leonardo and Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson after the victory of Manchester defeating Milan in Champions League Round of 16 First Leg, February 16, 2010

Beckham won the Champions League with Manchester United in 1999.  Will he win it now with AC Milan?

AC Milan and Manchester United have met nine times in European competition, most  recently in San Siro on February 16, 2010 where surprisingly Man U defeated the Rossoneri in their home stadium.  Previously,  Manchester United and AC Milan met at the semi-final stage in the 2006/07 competition when AC Milan triumphed 5-3 on aggregate.

Sir Alex said: "We've come up against AC Milan many times in the quarter and semi-finals so it'll  be a fantastic setting for two great clubs and we're very much looking  forward to it."

Milan Updates on the UEFA Champions League list: There are three changes. The new players are David Beckham, Daniele Bonera and Giuseppe Favalli: they take the place in the A List of Marco Storari, Oguchi Onyewu and Alexandre Pato, with the later having matured the requirements to be listed in List B.

Declarations from Manchester United Forward Wayne Rooney.

Wayne Rooney praised Clarence Seedorf, calling him 'perhaps the best player I've ever played against.' Today Manchester United's official site reported this and other declarations made by the English champion: 'Milan have several players who can score. We'll have to be very careful. They have Pirlo, Beckham who are great champions. Also Ronaldinho is special. When he's in form he's incredible. I saw he was recently named 'player of the decade' and this shows how much talent he has. We'll have to be in top shape to beat the Rossoneri.'

A historic and fascinating match, the one that will see Milan and Manchester United face each other. The two teams have met eight times in the past, always in the final stages of the Champions Cup/Champions League. During the last double encounter, Milan played what has been called "the perfect match," the one of 2 May 2007 at San Siro, which gave access to the final of the most prestigious European club competition and the consequent victory in Athens. Also in 1969 Milan and Manchester United met in the semifinals and, two weeks later, the Rossoneri were crowned European Champions at the Santiago Bernabeu.
