Here is my PREVIEW of the Italian Serie A Week 15- Fifteenth Round scheduled Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, 2009.  Guess what???What!!! No surprise but FC INTER continues to be the sole leader flying all alone with all the privileges having 35 points followed not so closely by AC Milan with 28 points and Juventus with 27 points.  Yep!  Hello, is like flying FIRST CLASS asking for best wine, chips while flying and accumulating mileage. 

In the relegation area AS Livorno, Catania and AC Siena.  The actual battle is amon the teams fighting for a spot in the Europa League which are the 5 and 6 place:  Parma, Genoa, Cagliari, Bari, Roma, and Fiorentina.

AC Milan will look to reaffirm their winning path to keep the race for the Scudetto alive with only 7 points difference with Inter.  The crucial match for Milan will be played in the Olimpico as all Milan fans will be rooting for Juventus so Milan can shorten the distance with Inter to 4 points.

Bad news is for Sampdoria who were eliminated from the Coppa Italia TIM by Livorno and losing the Derby della Lanterna against Sampdoria.  Sampdoria cannot afford to lose this game if they want to pursue a spot in the Champions League next season. Parma and Sampdoria both have 24 points, so a victory for Sampdoria is a must.

Milan has only  one suspended player  Filippo Inzaghiand one cautioned: Mathieu Flamini.  The big problem is for Sampdoria having 3 suspended players:  Cacciatore, Rossi and Captain Angelo  Palombo. Two players carryinga yellow card: Antonio Cassano and Poli.

Milan seems to have found the magic Brazilian formula with a revived Ronaldinho and energized Pato.  Plus, forward Marco Borriello and the final awakening of forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar breaking his goal diet by scoring a brace last week against Catania. 



Numbers are in favor of AC Milan and considering Sampdoria have lost all their last 3 away games adds more pressure to the blucerchiatti.

It's the big clash... the Derby D'Italia and days before the Champions League games where Juventus and Inter are expecting to win to qualify to the next round.  Right now, the one risking the most is Juventus not Inter.  Why? Well, hello, hello, there are 8 points difference between both teams.  Inter whether lose or draw will continue to be the sole leader.

Problem is for Juventus because a defeat will set an 11 points difference and that's a huge gap.  Moreover, assuming AC Milan beats Sampdoria, then there will be also a 4 point difference between them. Not to even mention the continuous rumors about the sacking of Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara which are denied by Juventus President. 

100 years of history of the famous Derby D'Italia on November 14. A total of 211 games Juventus against Inter including al games.  Numbers are clearly in favor of Juventus with 94 victories, Inter wining 65, and 52 draws.

Hello, here is the thing guys. Juventus risking their peaceful Christmas celebrations if losing both games...that's the plain truth.  Inter, at this point, can afford to lose a match in the Serie A but they cannot lose the Champions League game against Rubin Kazan because they will be eliminated!!!!   So, how hard will Inter want to risk their players in the match against Juventus?

The tension between Coach Jose Mourinho and forward Mario Balotelli continues through the media.  Balotelli being the divider between Mourinho and President Massimo Moratti... In Casa Juventus, we find an energized captain Alessandro Del Piero ready to defeat Inter plus a recovered David Trezeguet.

Big question on whether there will be racist chants against Balotelli when Juventus fans repeat that the protests agaisnt Balotelli are not about racism but lack of sportsmanship and provoking the fans.

There are no suspended players in Juventus. However,  the list of players with yellow card limit includes Mauro Camoranesi,  Sissoko ,Grygera, Legrottaglie and Poulsen after receiving their third yellow card of the season. Amauri, who was also shown a yellow card at theSant’Elia, is on his second warning.

The last  match day did not lead to any suspensions for Inter either.  The only absentee for Inter will be Maicon who will be seeing out his second of two days of suspension following the red card shown against Bologna.

Chiellini will be playing wearing a protesctive mask after his nose surgery.

Wow, this Derby della Capitale will be a fierce battle especially for Lazio coach Davide Ballardini. The elimination from the Europa League increased the disappointment from fans and losing the Derby might bethe last drop to cause his sacking.
