There are two called up players from the Italian Serie A playing for Netherlands: FC Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder and AC Milan forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar.  Both listed in the substitute list. Although Sneijder not able to play because he injured during trainings yesterday.


Here is the official starting eleven formation for ITALY by coach Marcello Lippi:

It is the 17th time that Italy and Ireland played.....  

Just in the beginning of the match and Italy pressing with a great run from Candreva coming from the left hand side... 
Free kick for Italy after Van Bommel commits a foul on midfilder Andrea Pirlo.....

In he 6th minute, Oh my gosh, guys, there is one fan interrupting the match because he jumped in the field wearing a blue t-shirt with the words on his back "Cassano in Nazionale" It means Cassano in the National team.. hey, hey, hey, you bet this won't be a good message for Lippi but the fans not whistling this action from the fans which sends the message that Cassano is appreciated by the majority for a comeback.... 



In the 7th minute,  Gilardino getting a good chance to score but missing the target in the final shot.....

In the 11th minute,  Italy defender tackling Van Persie to clear danger and Van Persie hurting ....

Pirlo to Candreva and then to Camoranesi but did not reach the ball on time.

In the meantime closeup from Van Persie on the ground....   and might be a forced substitution..
In the 15th minute, Yes, it is a forced substitution leaving on stretcher....

In the 21st minute Camoranesi is brought down.. free kick and Pirlo shooting...... while Lippi observies and the barrier gets in position... Holland clears the danger...

Wow, bravo for Candreva making  long right footed shot but missing the target... hey, Candreva is moving all over and showing he really wants to be called up again.

Chiellini outjumping Van der Vaart and Italy again counterattacking.. go Palladino to Grosso and is cleared......

In the 29th minute,  De Jong commits a bad foul on Angelo Palombo who gets mad when De Jong tries to say  it was not a foul but it is clear, hello... imagine that  the replay showing a clear  foul that even tearing the sock....  hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo proprio a gamba tesa!!!!

Guys, this is not looking a friendly match with so many bad fouls.....

 In the 37th minute, guys, almost an own goal when Palladino deviates... Buffon making a save with both hands while jumping... action originated by Van der Vaart

Hey, again, another save from Buffon...  Italycounterattacks......  to Palladino but it is cleared .....  Greatinterventions by Buffon....

In the 45th minute, a great pass from Andrea Pirlo to Candreva and Holland goalkeeper Stekelenburg anticipates....

Oh my my I am dropping my popcorn all over the keyboaarddddddddddddddd...  Guys, awesome match from Palombo running all over creating goal opportunities....  and the fans now chanting the PO PO PO PO PO.. Last attempt from the Azzurri now motivated with the loud chant from the fans.. and PIrlo is rocking big time... come on Pirlo!!!!!!

Mamma mia I can't believe it guys... what a wasted chance  Zambrotta ot Giuseep Rossi to Candreva and then to Gilardino  deviated, then on the reobond Camoranesi tries and is cleared   toooooo..   Chiellini tries to take the ball again  but Elia taking the ball away....

Guys , in the corner..  funny to see the two AC Milan players Gianluca Zambrotta and Klaas Jan Huntelaar  blocking each other while Zambrotta is the one putting his hand in the face of Huntelaar and Huntelaar  also pulling Zambrotta both falling on the ground...

oh my gosh guys,  In the 82nd minute,  Italy scoring with Pazzini and  all 11 players from Holland protesting oh my goshhhh guys, the goalkeeper running towards the referee to protest and everybody saying it was a hand ball... wow,, wait, wait, wait,, let me see the replay, yes, indeed it is a handball....... and the goal is ruled out.

In the 85th minute, a great combo between  Domenico Criscito  to Giuseppe Rossi  making a fast run  and cleared by the goalkeeper... what a chance... guys, we just need the goal...

Just a minute later and Marchionni with his first chance to create danger when goalkeeper anticipates.... 

Oh my gosh guys, a mistake by Captain Fabio Cannavaro making a wrong pass and thanks God, Gianluca Zambrotta was there to remedy the mistake and clearing. wow, it would have been a bad moment to concede a goal... well done for Zambrotta

I  must say that the match changed with the entrance from Giuseppe Rossi adding more speed, energy to the game.  Candreva excellent....

Match over guys......  a draw.....  and Lippi satisfied seeing the work from the younger players ....    well, guys, Lippi asked for patience before the match.  Question is that we are still not seeing a convincing Italy winning "alla grande."
