Thumbs up for Genoa rocking again. I am so happy with the result of the match especially for two reasons. Hum? What? Yes, I am not only waving Genoa flag but also the Argentinian flag because Rodrigo Palacio and Hernan Crespo scored! hip hip hurrah!!!! Hello... I am a big fan of Hernan Crespo and also from Palacio since he was playing in Boca Juniors.
Here is the official starting eleven formation for GENOA by coach Gian Piero Gasperini:
GENOA: Alessio Scarpi, Emiliano Moretti, Giuseppe Biava, Francesco Modesto, Salvatore Bocchetti, Nenad Tomovic, Marco Rossi, Alberto Zapater, Hernan Crespo, Raffaele Palladino and Rodrigo Palacio.
Here is the official starting eleven formation for LILLE METROPOLE by coach Garcia:
LILLE METROPOLE: Mickael Landreau, Franck Beria, Conceicao Emerson, Adil Rami, Jerry Vandam, Florent Balmont, Ludovic Obraniak, Stephanie Dumont, Robert Vittek, Larsen Toure, and Pierre Aubameyang.
I jumped out of my seat when I saw Rodrigo Palacio scoring in the 14th minute and was applauding and chanting the "vamos, vamos, vamos Argentina" LOL.. I was going banana cheering for our Italian team but also for the Argentinian guys . Way to go for Palacio blasting Lille goalkeeper Landreau with a right footed shot. Awesome.
Now, the bim bam boommm guys. In the 57th minute, from a corner kick by Alberto Zapater finding Hernan Crespo in the right place to head the ball from the center and the party is on for Genoa...
Lille shortening the distance in the 76th minute and then bam bam equalizing the score in the 84th minute with Gervinho. Finally, in the 90th minute, Giuseppe Sculli delivering the winning goal for Genoa! Hip hip hurrah. Sculli replaced Hernan Crespo in the 80th minute and you bet coach Gasperini is happy with his performance.
Well done for Genoa. Good day for Italian football.
