"Inter is not a club in debt, you are wrong" FC Inter President Moratti to UEFA President Platini

By Anna Italia

What is going on with all these bickering about being in debt?

UEFA President Michele Platini declaring FC Internazionale among the clubs to be highly in debt including Manchester United and Chelsea.  Platini's point is that these clubs spend more than what they can afford and naturally affecting the rest of the teams. This declaration did not go well with Inter President Massimo Moratti and immediately responding through Inter official website.

"Inter is not a club in debt." With regard to the declarations of Michel Platini, reported in today's Daily Telegraph, F.C. Internazionale responds with clarity to the UEFA president.

"We understand the institutional worries about the economy of European football, but in citing Inter he forgets that our club does not have debts with the banks. Inter is not among those clubs that, from this point of view, can worry the UEFA president."

If we talk about teams spending way too much I will mention Real Madrid and their "extravaganza" salaries to lure top footballers from other clubs... not sure whether they are also on the "too much debt group" but certainly among the ones spending a lot.  How can any other club compete to sign top footballers when not able to pay the "Real Madrid mega salaries..."

Guys what will happen if Inter does not make it in the Champions League?  Will the season be considered a failure after spending so much on transfer market?
