It was supposed to be the game of the ex goalkeepers as Palermo and Genoa exchanged their goalkeepers with Marco Amelia transferring to Genoa while goalkeeper Rubino transferring to Palermo. However, today no such match because Marco Amelia is out for injury and Rubino is listed in the substitutes because Zenga preferred to start with 22 years old goalkeeper Sirigu.

Get ready for the rollercoaster while Palermo fans in the Barbera wave the banners, flags,

Referee Brighi whistles the beginning of the match......

 Oh my gosh, guys, in the 2nd minute, Palermo forward Edison Cagani scoring positioning the ball first with the chest but in the replay showing he also used his arm to help him score... the goal is ruled out...  no doubt about it guys. Cavani protests but after he kind of apologize...

In the 8th minute, Simplicio to Miccoli  but Miccoli is offside... no luck guys...

In the 15th minute, there he goes.. I think the fastest runner in the Serie A Miccoli.... running passing his opponents and in the end it is cleared..... I wonder who is fastest Lavezzi from Napoli or Miccoli? 

wow,wow, wow..guys again Fabrizio Miccoli creating clear and present danger  and in the 15th minute another chance.  An assist by Fabio Simplicio to Miccoli delivering a left footed sho from the left side with his fast running and it is saved in the center!!!!! 

Wow, is it a volley ball  in the beach.. awesoe gys, Cavani, Simplicio, everybody in the area of Genoa and the ball not wanting to to blast the net... U N B E L I E V A B L E... not even coach Walter Zenga believes it... close up from Zenga like saying "mamma mia non ci posso credere." LOL

Genoa now counter attacks.... no...

Pastore now reacting  to Cassani but not finding any of his teammates for the pass...

In the 28th minute, it's turn for Genoa when Sergio Floccari provides the assist to forward Raffaele Palladino coming from the right to make a left footed shot thogh no luck.. it is cleared...

Helloooo in the 29th minute,  Referee Brighi  rightfuly fiving a yellow card to Papastathopoulos while trying to stop Miccoli  by pulling him forcing Miccoli to stop and it is free kick for Palermo...

Miccoli keeps trying  but guys "Lady Luck" moving away because Miccoli is practically over the place running....

In the 34th minute, Mark Bresciano with a clear chance to score being unmarked and with a right footed shot forcing Genoa goalkeeper to save.. oh well.. assist by Edison Cavani... this was a good chance...

Three minutes later and Genoa closer to open the score. In the 37th minute, an assist by Papastathopoulos to Marco Rossi heading the ball from the center of the box and there is Palermo goalkeeper Sirigu ready to save in the center...

In the 40th minute, free kick for Palermo when Marco Rossi clearly push Miccoli from the back with his left hand bringing him down and Miccoli protests...  there is free kick for Palermo....  oh weelll nothing happens, the ball is deviated and it is corner now...

wow,wow, wow..  in the 43rd minute, double chance for Genoa to open the score.. first Raffaele Palladino  with long range left footed shot  and is stopped  by Palermo goalkeeper Sirigu with his feet and in the rebound bam bam bam Marco Rossi from the right side of the box  also trying and Sirigu saves again!!!!!!  wow. guys, no wonder why Zenga prefers him instead of Rubino.....  corner for Genoa....

oh well,, in the 44th minute following a corner and Giuseppe Biava missing the target after an assit by Omar Milanetto.  Biava trying to head the ball from the center but it went to the left side....

First half ends 45% ball possession for Palermo and 55% ball possession for Genoa  Time to bring my Apple caramel snack guys while waiting for the second half.....

Second half now start....

Genoa  is pressing and seem they returned energized because Palermo losing control of the game in these first 3 minutes...

In the 53rd minute a clear foul from Geno Giuseppe Biava pushing Miccoli with his hand and bringing him down. Funny to see how the commentator from RAI says that Miccoli might exaggerate a bit  but still he convinced  the referee. Indeed it is a clear foul watching the replay. Free kick for Palermo and Miccoli himself taking the free kick...oh noooo  Miccole misses the target  his right footed shot  is too high..............

In the 57th minute ... a handball by Sergio Floccari.....

Zenga now is yelling and instructing his players....

Ok guys, now let's see what Crespo can do....

Immediately action in the 59th minute by Crespo sending a long range shot but Marco Rossi is offside.

Hello, now a change from Palermo in the 62nd minute,

In the 63rd minute just entering and Hernandez on the ground after an elbowed ...  match contnue....

oh my gosh you wont' believe the powerful right footed shot by Hernan Crespo from the right side after an assist by Omar Milanetto. Imagine how strong it was that Palermo goalkeeper Sirigu pushes the ball away with both hands and you could hear the SPLASHHHH impact of the ball with his gloves and his face reacting .... awesome, it would have been a good goal.

In the 70th minute Cavani missing the target after a left footed shot  thanks to an assist by Abel Hernandez... guys, Palermo is trying in all ways to score  but no luck....

Immediately an action from Omar Milanetto sending the assist to Hernan Crespo but his left footed shot misses the target....

In the 72nd minute, Salvatore Bocchetti bringing Cavani down... and free kick for Palermo  .. nothing happenss.....

In the 75th minute, Genoa making the last substitution.
Giandomenico Mesto out, Rodrigo Palacio in.

hey, hey, hey, guys, Rodrigo with a long range assist deviated by Palermo midfielder Simplicio   and the ball ends in the front of the goal and incredible so neither Sculli nor Crespo can make the final shot.....   Good try from Palacio...

In the 76th minute, Cavani  with a right footed shot challenging Genoa goalkeeper to save in the bottom right corner after an assist by Cesare Bovo.


In the 78th minute Palermo making a substitution.
Edison Cavani out, Igor Budan in... oh what??? guys Cavani  leaving the field among applause but also with some whistles... ?? why???  hello the  guy played bravely but just missing the chance to score...

In the 82nd minute a brilliant move starting from Antonio Nocerino to Fabio Simplicio running from outside the box delivering a left footed shot forcing Palermo goalkeeper to push the ball away with his fists...

It has been  a constant pressing from both sides but neither finding the way to score....

We are in the last minutes and in the 93rd minute  Referee Brighi gives a yellow card to Fabrizio Miccoli.  Palermo fans whistling the decision from Brighi....

This is it guys.....  match ends  with a 0 - 0 draw.......
