AS Roma Captain Francesco Totti Underwent Knee Surgery in Villa Stuart on Monday, October 26, 2009

Bad news for AS ROMA. After Captain Francesco Totti denying rumors of his knee surgery, finally he had to accept undergoing a right knee surgery in Villa Stuart. The news is also confirmed on AS Roma official website on Monday, October 26, 2009.
Here is the thing guys, Totti is 33 years old and recovering time not the same but taking a bit longer. It means Totti will be out at least for 1 month... It is a blow for the squad still battling to be in the top 4 teams but after losing on Week 9 against AS Livorno they went down to the 12th position with only 11 points AS Roma 0 - 1 AS Livorno . OUCH!!!

The club confirmed Totti will start his rehabilitation on Tuesday, October 27 but it is not yet known when he will be back. The Derby della Capitale is on December 6 and you bet it is a match that Totti will love to play.

In data odierna, il calciatore Francesco Totti è stato sottoposto ad intervento di meniscectomia artroscopica mediale selettiva del ginocchio destro. L'intervento, eseguito dal Prof. Mariani, dopo un percorso terapeutico conservativo, si è reso necessario per la comparsa, durante l’allenamento odierno di ulteriori disturbi. Nel corso dell'intervento non sono state riscontrate lesioni di altra natura (legamentose o cartilaginee). Il Calciatore, già dimesso questa sera, inizierà il protocollo riabilitativo a Trigoria nella mattinata di domani. Il ritorno all'attività agonistica sarà stabilito sulla base delle risposte funzionali dell’atleta.
