ON THE MATCH AGAINST MARSEILLE
“It was an important game, we prepared ourselves well and it came out in the best possible way. We charged ourselves up in the recent past speaking about returning to play in this competition, but the best thing about this clash has been the approach to the game. We were good to overcome the difficult moments like in the first part of the second half and we managed to react.
“Flamini’s challenge on Mbia was a strong one, but both players were cautioned.
There can be moments of tension inside a game, but I don’t think that it should be defined as a tough game.”
ON THE SERIE A LEAGUE
“At Siena we saw an organized and concentrated Milan side. The path in the league isstill long and I think that if this team will have all the players available, we could have our say in the league. Tomorrow’s game is very important because we come from a win and it will be us who have to be ready to make points.”
ON THE MATCH AGAINST BOLOGNA
“Bologna is a team which tried various tactical setups in the first games and inside the squad has the possibility to vary its players. Already last year they came here and put us in difficulty and I think that it will be us who will have to be concentrated, we will need to have all players read because there’s the need of all of us.
“There are things which charge us up positively or negatively. It’s us who must be good enough to manage the situation. The week was very good and after the match against Marseille there’s the right morale, we’re very charged up. This team does not travel on the individuals, but on the group and if we will be united, we can go very far.
“Tomorrow we’ll have to try and have more movement, create spaces. At times we find it difficult in this and we must find the solutions. Tomorrow the attitude must be a winning one: whoever goes on the pitch tomorrow will have to do so to win, not to try new things, but because they will be experimented solutions during training sessions or friendlies.”
ON FC INTER COACH JOSE MOURINHO’S DECLARATIONS
“I prefer not to reply to anyone. I think about my work, I’m concentrated just one on that. If Milan does not start as favourite in the various competitions, it means that we shall place ourselves in the right condition, match after match, to do well.”

ON AC MILAN FORWARD RONALDINHO
“There’s no need to give any judgments to Ronaldinho before and after every game.
He’s a resources of this squad like all the other players. The entire squad is available and all must be fine. It’s normal then to change players when we have to play every few days. Sincerely I don’t know how he is, yesterday he arrived and after the squad photos he went at home because he was not feeling well, but he’s a resource just like all the rest.
“My decision whether to play him or not tomorrow will also depend from Bologna. It seems to me that Ronaldinho is under observation every time. Each individual performance must be evaluated one at a time, he’s a Golden Ball player and it’s normal that he’s observed, but I think that many things must be taken into consideration apart from the individual evaluation.
“I have a direct rapport with Ronaldinho and I speak about everything. He’s a public person and everything he does is highlighted, even though he did his part, especially in the past in Barcelona. Speaking about the fact that if he’s late or not in the evening, is not opportune, why must we concentrate on the player.
“The president must do the president and with Ronaldinho is doing so: he asks a player who was a Golden Ball winner to do what he is able to do by giving his best. At times he finds it difficult on the pitch to find space to move, I must be good too to find different solutions, but it’s normal that a Golden Ball winner is under everybody’s eyes.
“He can play as a forward, at Barcelona he also played as a striker: when a player is fine and has Ronaldinho’s class, but mayb in the Italian league it is more difficult. All players have a psychological and physical incidence on their game. He has already done positive things this year and will re-do them. We will try to put all players in the best condition.”
ON THE FULL-BACKS
“I’m trying to have a sincere and direct rapport on what my ideas are on the full-backs and also the full squad. We have spoken a lot on the argument of the full-backs, we have tried to take Cissoko to improve the squad, but we are trying to manage in the best possible way our reserouces. I think that the full-backs must rotate exactly like we are doing with Oddo, Jankulovski and also Abate, who is traiing and could be used as a full-back.”

ON AC MILAN FORWARD KLAAS JAN HUNTELAAR
“He arrived, in the first matchday he was suspended, then he was used with his national team, practically he’s never been here. A player needs to enter the mechanism in all senses, from the group level. He must still learn Italian and so far he has been here for just one week.”

ON AC MILAN FORWARD PATO
“He started out very well, we are working a lot on his movements. He’s a very instinctive player and I don’t want him to lose this main characteristic, but in the moment in which he doesn’t have that instinct, he must be able to manage the situation with the right movements. Learning these things he can become an even more important attacker than he is today.”

ON AC MILAN DEFENDER KAKHA KALADZE
“He’s fine, we need him like all players. He will have his chances. The match with the national team is forgotten now. He is training well and I see him ready to do well.”
ON A POSSIBLE TURNOVER
“The recovery times are longer than the games, therefore I think that it is opportune to make use of th turnover, especially in defence.
ON THE TRANSFER MARKET
“So far we have thought about the market in a general way, there isn’t a particular name on whom we have concentrated our attention.”
