AC Milan who are not doing that well in the local Italian Serie A usually grow big when it plays in the International level. Let's see if they prove it again by defeating Marseille. A tough challenge for young coach Leonardo... but he can do it... well... the players can do it.
This it guys, the moment has arrived to win or win for the Rossoneri!
Here is the official starting eleven formation for OLYMPIQUE MARSEILLE by Coach:
Olympique Marseille: Mandanda, Kabore, Heinze, Diawara, Taiwo, Cissé, Mbia, Cheyrou, Lucho, Brandao, Niang.
Here is the official starting eleven formation for AC MILAN by Coach Leonardo:
AC MILAN: Marco Storari, Massimo Oddo, Alessandro Nesta, Thiago Silva, Gianluca Zambrotta, Mathieu Flamini, Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini, Clarence Seedorf, Pato, Filippo Inzaghi.
Surprise, surprise, guys... Leonardo keeps Ronaldinho as a substitute and opts to start with the more experienced AC Milan group in the defence and the midfield lead by our "Sleepy Prince" Andrea Pirlo. The attack is all power shot with Pato and Super Pippo Inzaghi.
Players are entering in the pitch... the sound of the UEFA Champions League anthem... wow... awesome.. I have goosebumps!!!! Get ready.. let's get the ball rolling
Oh my gosh, guys, here we go in this rollercoaster because Referee Bo Larsen whistles the beginning of the match.... it's show time guys.... come on AC MILAN!!!!
Uffa. guys, in the 2nd minute, it is the great defender Alessandro Nesta "TEMPESTA" to start pushing the bandwagon and with a right footed shot attempts to blast Olympique Marseille goalkeeper, yet, it's too early and it is blocked.
Immediately Marseille taking ball possession and pressing the Rossoneri.... guys, the first five minutes are all Marseille.
Fans in the Stadium whistling every time AC Milan touches the ball. It is crowded, an estimate of 60,000 fans.
Come on Milan, we need to move the midfield... forza Pirlo, let's do some creative passes....
I love how Thiago Silva is clearing dangers in this early part... forza!!!!!
Awesome guys, AC Milan reacting and in the 13th minute, an assist by defender Massimo Oddo to Super Pippo Inzaghi taking a right footed shot from the center of the box... oh my gosh, guys... come on... oh no, not possible .. it is saved in the bottom left corner by Marseille goalkeeper!!!!!!
In the counterattack you see Marseille with Mamadou Nian following a fast break after an assist by Benoit and missing the target sending the ball too high...
Now, we are talking guys, both teams are awakening.... come on.. Milan!!!!
Oh my gosh, guys, come on Pato... guys, in the 17th minute, Pato having a chance to score following a fast break and I am standing doing my cheerleader!!! Mathieu Flamini making the assist for Pato who shoots from long range though missing the target to the right... uffaaaaa
Oh nooooo guys, in the 25th minute I almost faint when seeing Niang "almost scoring" He was alone and making his right footed shot after an assist by Cheyrou and luckily he missed it... it is blocked!!!!!!
Come on Milan, wake up, let's take care of business...
Here is the assist from Seedorf to Inzaghi......

Super Filippo Inzaghi the King of Europe blasting Olympique Marseille goalkeeper after a BIM BAM BOOM cross between Pato and Seedorf going back and forth to finally see Seedorf making the assist to Inzaghi who was all alone and with all the time of the world to focus his shaot and there you go INZAGHI SHOW TIME!!!!!!! Inzaghi scoaring his 67th goal in European competition!!!!!!! Breaking record after records
Olympique Marseille 0 - 1 AC Milan

The joy of Super Pippo Inzaghi!!!!!
Awesome, guys, so far, Inzaghi not disappointing coach Leonardo for having chosen him to be in the starting line up! You bet Milan president Silvio Berlusconi must be jumping and making a toast with champagne for Inzaghi as he is his number one fan... well... second because I AM INZAGHI NUMBER ONE FAN!!!!!

Wow, guys, I am loving the match and how Milan is reacting when earlier in the match it was Marseille controlling. The rhythm changed and still raining so heavily but the Rossoneri are battling like roaring lions!
What a match for AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Storari making great saves. In the 43rd minute, guys, there was a clear chance for Marseille to equalize and Storari jumping higher to clear the danger.... awesome!!!!!!
In the 45th minute another super save from Storari after a long range shot from Benoit Cheyrou!!!! way to go Storari!!!!!!
First half ends with Milan taking the lead..... keep cheering for the Rossoneri guys... and pass the Pizza over here too!!!!
Second half start and Ronaldinho still in the bench...
Oh noooooooo guys, in the 49th minute, Olympique Marseille qualizes the score after a long range shot by Benoit Cheyrou where Gabriel Heinze in the center of the box heads the ball blasting AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Storari. Guys, defender Massimo Oddo jumped so high trying to clear but no chance, Heinze had the better part and now running to celebrate sending kisses to the fans. The explosion of joy with all blue flags...
Olympique Marseille 1 - 1 AC Milan
Olympique Marseille defender Gabriel Heinze blasting AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Storai while Thiago Silva, Massimo Oddo, and Gianluca Zambrotta could only watched in disbelief. Gee.. guys, look at Oddo jumping so high, but still Heinze managed to profit his golden moment from the center of the goal. bammmmmmmmmmmmmm
Now, Milan has to react and increase the speed of the match, pressing.. .I want to see Pirlo and Seedorf creating goal opportunities for Pato and Inzaghi... come on Milan!!!!
Oh my gosh, guys, there is another chace for Marseille to score!!!! In the 54th minute there is a dangerous assist by Stephane Mbia to Taiwo seeing his golden moment with a left footed shot from long range and for Milan's sake goalkeeper Storari saves in the bottom left corner. Jump, Jump, Jump, play the drumssssssss in the 74th minute, Clarence Seedorf making an assist to INZAGHI who is not offisde this time and instead BAM BAM BAM a right footed shot blasting Olympique Marseille goalkeeper in the bottom left corner giving the joy to Milan fans to celebrate again this lead. Guys, three minutes later, last substitution for AC Milan
Clarence Seedorf out, and time for young midfielder Ignazio Abate.
Awesome guys!!!!! Great debut from Leonardo and his decision to change the formation while keeping Ronaldinho in the bench and bringing Seedorf to be the creator really worked... thumbs up for Leonardo
Excellent debut and a super boost to the morale of the Rossoneri to go back to Milan and prepare for the Italian Serie A Week 4 to grab another victory.
It was proven again that AC Milan feels more confident in the European competition than in the local league. Point now is to feel comfortable in both leagues by winning. Come on !!!!!
