Hello, hello, hello... guys, the topic of  Brazilian Juventus  forward Amauri choosing to play for the Italian National team --- if called up by Marcello Lippi --- is causing divided opinions in the dressing room / spogliatoio of the Azzurri.   Point is that not everybody is welcoming the idea of Amauri as a footballer for the Italian National team.   Some say it openly, others trying to be politically correct, while others openly accepting him.

Anyway, the point is that as highlighted by Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon -- who happens to be one of those in favor of Amauri -- something is not working with the team.  Buffon said that after their early exit from the Confederations Cup a bit of confidence was taking away from the group.  Buffon said that they must find that confidence ==as a group == again.

Ok, now, here comes the latest comments on the "AMAURI issue."  Italy and Fiorentina forward Alberto Gilardino during the press conference said that Amauri is not the solution. I will have to agree with Gilardino because what Italy needs is the  firm belief that they can play as a group.

Gilardino practically saying  that we don't have to rush to condemn the offense of the National team.  In a nutshell guys, the offense is under pressure because they have not scored consistently and we are still waiting for their goals....

"I don't  think I am lacking anything to consider  myself a forward of the Nazionale. Sure, maybe, missing some important goals in the decisive moments.  Though I would like to reach Paolo Rossi's record of scoring 20 goals," said Alberto Gilardino.

Point is that after Amauri declaring that he wanted to play for the Italian National team is normal that the current Italian born forwards feel the pressure. Hello, the best solution is for them to speak with goals, right...?  RIGHT.

According to Gilardino, they have not talked about Amauri among themselves.  "A player is not the solution for the problems of a squad.  Amauri is formidable, a good player. What matters now is the group that is here and that have won the 3 important points in Georgia.  About Amauri, the ones to decide are the Italian Football Federation and the Nazionale."

In other words, the decision is up to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Italy Head Coach Marcello Lippi if he decides to call him up.

Good thing is that Gilardino declares to feel ready to be inte staring lineup and the hunger to score.  I love this !

Gilardino said,  "I feel fine, I started the season well with Fiorentina and I hope I can play against Buldgaria and score.  We are now in the beginning of the season and it is important to win. The "bel calcio / beautiful football'  will come.  It will be a  difficult match against Bulgaria and they will try to beat us with their counterattack."

Question is why not giving a chance to the most demanded Antonio Cassano, or Giampaolo Pazzini?
