Hello, guys, here is the update on the trainings of the Italian National team for the 2010 World Cup Qualifier match ITALY - BULGARIA on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. The Azzurri are back in Italy. AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi joining the team today. De Rossi was not with the team before because he was suspended for 1 match. Italy Head Coach Marcello Lippi is now regrouping his team and starting the first training in the Vinovo.

- Bad news for the Azzurri guys. During the practice training game in Vinovo between the Italian national team versus the youth from Juventus, forward Fabio Quagliarella gets injured. Ouch. Central defender Paolo Ferrara, the son of Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara, tackles Quagliarella forcing him to leave the pitch after hurting his knee. Immediately, medical staff applied a big bag of ice on the knee. Apparently is not that bad, but considering there are only 2 more days before the match against Bulgaria, we cannot risk much.
- Practice match game ends with a score of 11 - 1. Get this one, guys, 5 goals from Alberto Gilardino, a brace from Antonio "Toto" Di Natale, and goals by Pepe, Nicola Legrottaglie, D'Agostino, Tazzari.
- Lippi tried the following formation 4-4-2:
Marchetti, Davide Santon, Nicola Legrottaglie, Esposito (Juve group), Fabio Grosso; Pepe, Daniele De Rossi, D'Agostino, Antonio Di Natale; Fabio Quagliarella, and Alberto Gilardino.
- Marchisio continues training separately. He is expected to train with the group tomorrow.
