I am ready with my popcorn, Italian flags watching the match on RAI ITALIA.  Join me guys to root for our Italian National team.  Let's do our virtual party blog for the AZZURRI.   Italy has everything to win this game against Georgia, no excuses....

Great to see our Italian Captain Fabio Cannavaro making his 128th appearance with the Azzurri.  Thumbs up Cannavaro!!!

Awesome, guys, teams are in the pitch and the national anthems ...   Captains shaking  hands and now Referee Marcin Borski whistesl the beginning of the match... let's keep the ball rolling...

Guys, the first 5 minutes are all "pressing" from Georgia and Kakha Kaladze is shining with Georgia.  The fans are encouraging Georgia to press and score.  Italy is not able to wake up yet and react to the pressure.  

Come on Italia!!!!

Amazing, guys, but Georgia is giving a hard time to the Azzurri!!!!   Hey, Italia, wake up and smell the coffee.   The defense must be alert because the pressing is constant.

In the 8th minute, Italy reacting with forward Vincenzo Iaquinta, and mama mia not possible!!!!  You won't believe it guys... after an assist by Andrea Pirlo to Iaquinta and he slipped!.... oh my gosh! 

In the meantime, Georgia keeps pressing and Italy not finding their way to execute their plan. 

In the 10th minute, an important save from Italy goalkeeper Gigi Buffon when Georgia was so close to open the score.  Guys, Ananidze wtih a corner kick and Buffon saves...

I am praying for the reaction of the Azzurri.  The pressure from Georgia fans can be felt even by watching the TV.    Ball possession is more for Georgia at this point...

Hello, hello, hello.. what a bad foul guys in the 12th minute. Levan Khmaladze commits a foul on Giuseppe Rossi and not getting a yellow card!!!!  helloooo you got to be kidding!  Is the referee watching??

My gosh!  In the 17th minute, Italy midfielder Mauro Camoranesi with a clear chance to score and the ball goes over the bar!!!

Italy needs to create goal opportunities, the midfield must react guys...   Close up for Georgia coach Hector Cuper motivating his player.

In the 21st minute, Italy defnder Giorgio Chiellini clearing the danger from Georgia forward Dvalishvili so close to open the score.  Way to go for Chiellini....

Right now, guys, Bulgaria 1- 1 Montenegro. which is a result favorable to Italy....  the goal from Montenegro is by Fiorentina forward Jovetic!!!!  

Amazing guys, but  GEORGIA who are i the bottom of the qualification are battling as if they were leading the table.  It is an awesome match by Georgia and AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze!!!

In the 32nd minute, Georgia defender Amiran Sanaia from the center makes a right footed shot and this time it was a soft shot that goalkeeper Buffon has no problem saving.  Good for Buffon.

Wow, guys, players are already warmin up for Italy including Napoli forward Fabio Quagliarella!!!!  I am ready for the QUA QUA QUA QUA QUAGLIARELLLA....   oops.. Alberto Gilardino also warming up and Nicola Legrottaglie...

Oh la la!!!!  Guys, in the 34th minute, Mauro Camoranesi making a pass reaching Chiellini and is cleared!!!!!

Oops.. guys, the Republic of Ireland is winning  against  Cyprus and if this draw with Georgia  remain, Ireland will be in the first place with 16 points and Italy 15... so, you better believe that Lippi must do something quick to change the rhythm of the match and win this match to keep the leadership!!!


In the  41st minute, a bim bam boommmmm  guys, Italy defender Domenico Criscito  dribbling and is brought down by Kobiashvili...it seems a penalty and you can see the bench of the Azzurri with Nicola Legrottaglie and Quagliarella observing the action.. it looks a penalty, but Referee Borski  does not think so.... so the match continue...

Wow, the face of Marcello Lippi says it all.. he looks disappointed with the way Italy is playing.   First half is over and guys, the motivational pep talk is needed urgently !!!!

Italy must return with a different mentality in the second half. 

wow, guys, right now Bulgaria is winning  2-1 against Montenegro and the result gives them 11 points.. still 20 more minutes to go for them.

Second half starts for GEORGIA - ITALY....  no changes...

Hey, guys, now Cyprus equalizing the score with the Republic of Ireland, which means that Italy is back in the first place if the draw continues with Georgia.

Come on Italia... I want to see a more aggressive mentality....

I think it is time to make a substitution... Giuseppe Rossi gotta go.. not making much difference in this match.

I am loving it guys.. now, Italy is playing better, pressing...     forza Italiaaaaaaaaaaaaa

In the 55th minute, a save from Buffon, actually A MIRACLE!!!!!  Guys, in the 65th minute, Dvalishvili with a headed pass almost blasting Buffon, and no, there he was Buffon making a miraculous save!!!!

Mamma mia!!!!!  What a gift from AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze making an own goal !!!!! 56th minute, guys, let me tell you how it happened.. Italy midfielder Angelo Palombo making a pass towards Vincenzo Iaquinta who was almost in the center of the area, though, the ball reach first Georgia defender Kakha Kaladzea and while he tried to deviate the ball it went the other way directly to blast his own goalkeeper!!!!!  Wow, it must be a headache for Kaladze but the joy explodes with the Azzurri.....  You can see the group hug with Buffon, Palombo...  they joy from D'Agostino... wow....
