"I have returned home and I really wanted to join Juventus," defender Fabio Grosso the latest signing of Juventus.

By Anna Italia

It is a top quality transfer market... the return of one of the "campioni del mondo," defender Fabio Grosso!!!!   I am totally delighted and allow me to welcome on behalf of  Italian Soccer Serie A blog

Every time I think of Fabio Grosso, immediately his image of celebrating the goal in the 2006 World Cup comes to mind.  It is one of the most memorable memories I have from the World Cup "Fabio converting the decisive penalty to give the Azzurri the World Cup!!!!' .  You bet I love seeing Grosso returning home.  Talking about the World Cup, Fabio Grosso is one of the 23 Official Called Up Players  by Italy Head coach Marcello Lippi for the 2010 World Cup Qualifiers match against Georgia and Bulgaria.

"I am happy, I wanted to return home and join  Juventus.  It wasn't an easy moment for me, but the most important thing is that it happened. I am going to Juventus with the objectives to get to the very end in every competition and work with my teammates. Juventus deserve great victories. There are many Juventus players in the National team and we will do our best. My objective is to give the maximum for Juventus and the National team."

Juventus general manager Blanc declared that «The signing of Fabio Grosso adds quality to an already very competitive squad. The international experience and the qualities of a world champion will certainly be useful to a team competing on three fronts. Ferrara, will herefore have at his disposal other technical solutions and will have a player who he got to know during his experience with the national team. With this signing Juventus have ended a very busy transfer market, which hand has now all the best conditions to concentrate on its sports objectives».

You bet, Fabio Grosso is  a symbol of the world cup in Germany. How to forget  when he  scored one of  the goal against Germany  leading  to the final for Italy.

Grosso started his career in Serie C2 with Chieti in 1988, to Palermo in 2004 until climbing all the way to a well deserved  call-up to the Italian national team which was crowned by winning the WORLD CUP!

After the world cup, Grosso joined FC Inter for one season before joining Lyon with whom in two years he made 52 appearances and scored 2 goals.

I am very exited about the addition of Grosso to Juva along with Canavaro they are a very Italian team and I like that I've followed SerieA for a while without a favorite team. Maybe I have one now! I found this blog site a little over a year ago and I visit often. Salute to the host!!!
