"Meeting former AC Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti was a dream come true," Anna Italia host of Italian Soccer Serie A

By Anna Italia

I could not believe my eyes when I had in front former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti now coach of Chelsea. For years I have followed Ancelotti and our AC Milan.  So many memories of Ancelotti's years as an AC Milan player and also as coach. I went to cover the 2009 World Football Challenge game Chelsea - FC Inter and attended the post press conference.  Mourinho did not show up but sent his Assistant.

I had so many questions for Ancelotti and did not know where to start. Yet, one question was bursting inside my heart and I said, "Anna you have to ask Ancelotti how would he feel playing against his ex AC Milan knowing the team and which strikers he feared most Inzaghi, Pato, or Ronaldinho."  So, I did it!  I knew all my Milanisti readers wanted to know the same also and see Ancelotti.  I kept thinking, what will my readers want?  So, there I was taking photos and following every move of Ancelotti... I could imagine the faces of Nina, Milan99, Vivek, Pietro.

I asked the question in Italian so Ancelotti could respond without the need of translation. I noticed his face becoming a bit sad like thinking of the good time spent in Milan  when hearing the question, since I made it clear that I was a Milanista myself.   You bet Milan will always be a part of his life.

"naturalmente e una partita particolare per me, perche' tanti bei ricordi, e un modo di incontrare vecchi compagni, un bel momento," Chelsea Coach Carlo Ancelotti on the upcoming game against AC Milan on Friday, July 24, 2009.

In English, translates, "Naturally, it is a particular match for me because I have so many wonderful memories. It is a way to meet the team, it will be a good moment."

Guys, the best part was that my colleagues Richard Farley from World Soccer Readers and Rafael Ramos from La Opinion made sure that I had my chance to ask the question because they know that I am an avid AC Milan fan.  I was so happy because  we all helped each other during conferences to do our best job.  I mentioned that many of readers were AC Milan fans.

By the way guys, Ancelotti in one of the questions made a blurt saying that "PIRLO is now a player of  Chelsea, of Milan." I was ... say what!!!!! Then, Ancelotti said "I like to joke, no news."

Curiously, there was no "DERBY  handshake" between Ancelotti and Mourinho after the game.  Ancelotti commented that "We didn't meet because the pitch was so busy."  You bet Ancelotti was happy with the result and added that he was "not only satisfied with the win but also with the way we played. We took control of the game, we defended very well and we improved on the game against Seattle Sounders."

That's true guys, Chelsea dominated nothing to say about it... now it's time to wait for the clash Chelsea - AC Milan. Ouch!

Wow, guys, it was just a dream come true meeting Carlo Ancelotti!  ...

After the press conference we exchanged few words and he autographed the article from "La Gazzetta dello Sport" when AC Milan won the 2007 UEFA Champions League.   Guys, let's say it was a moment da Milanista a Milanista.  Bravo Ancelotti.

Bo, I struggled to see Ancelotti wearing the BLUE jersey too. I am so used to see Ancelotti with our AC Milan jersey... though my favorite EPL team is Chelsea.
