Official Robert Acquafresca playing for Atalanta "on loan" for the 2009 - 2010 Serie A Season

By Anna Italia

Say what?!!!!!!  Oh my gosh, it is official guys, Cagliari forward Robert Acquafresca will be playing for ATALANTA.  Gee, so crazy, Acquafresca has been like a ping pong ball going from one team to another during this Summer transfer market. The original contracts belong to FC Internazionale, yet, it seems Acquafresca was not at the level to be one of the main forward in Inter Milan.  Really????  Well, this assumption is after Acquafresca was conceded on a permanent basis to GENOA  as part of the transfer market deal of Genoa forward Diego Milito and Thiago Motta joining Inter Milan as reported in Inter official website.

Finally, the official announcement is that  Robert Acquafresca will play on loan for the 2009 - 2010 Season with Atalanta as reported by Il Corriere dello Sport. Guys, Acquafresca will play along Simone Tiribocchi who transferred from Lecce to Atalanta.  Acquafresca scored 14 goals in 36 appearances in  the 2008 - 2009 Serie A Season with Cagliari.

Wow, guys, I hope Acquafresca will improve his performance and become a top striker to show his worth.  I am happy in the sense that Acquafresca will continue his personal growth along Atalanta captain Cristiano Doni.

Acquafresca who is an Italo-Polish footballer decided to play for Italy and not Poland on March 18, 2008.  By the way, guys, Acquafresca speaks Polish too. His dad is Italian and his mother from Poland. Acquafresca was born in Turin, Italy on September 11, 1987.  Acquafresca plays for Italy Under 21 and you bet he is one of the promises for the Italian National team BECAUSE I SAY SO, period.

Bottom line guys, Acquafresca  was playing for Cagliari ending in the 9th place with 53 points, then, moving to Geno ending in 5th place with 68 points to end up "on loan" in Atalanta who finished the Season in the 11th place with 47 points.  Hum!!!!?????  It seems like going downhills instead of improving?  Well, let's not rush to judgments because after all the decision of leaving Cagliari  was not made by Acquafresca himself but by Inter who were the owner of his contract and thinking on their own interest rather have Genoa forward Diego Milito on a permanent basis than keeping Acquafresca.  Oh well... that's life. I wonder how Acquafresca feels with all this merry go round.

What do you think of the transfer from striker Robert Acquafresca to Atalanta?  Can Acquafresca make a difference in Atalanta as he did in Cagliari, yes, no, and why?
