Hello my friends!!!

This is it, the 2008 - 2009 Italian Serie A it's over!

It's the last game and time to say "THANK YOU" for  having share your soccer passion with me during this season.  I have enjoyed all your comments and it's time for a "Group Hug."  So,   Let me give you a friendly hug.. You are all my buddies... my family from  Italian Soccer Serie A  blog. 

I highly appreciate those who participated with their comments during the season to make this blog alive while driving our respective team bandwagons.  I also thank those who visited the blog to read the news and those who sent me emails to keep in touch. 

It's also a sad moment in Italian football because it is the last match from three great footballers: AC Milan Captain and one of the best Italian defenders Paolo Maldini, FC Inter Portuguese midfielder Luis Figo, and FC Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved.

Fiorentina - AC Milan.,  Maldini, a living legend playing only for 1 team for over 20 years just saying "time to say good bye.."  Gosh, I get  so emotional when thinking it is the last time seeing Maldini battling for the Rossoneri.  Grazie Paolo for the good memories. You will always be my capitano of the dreamy blue eyes.  So far,  Milan is winning with goals by Musica and Magia Kaka and Alexandre Pato. 

Summary, guys, Lecce and Reggina playing their last game in the Serie A because they are already in the relegation zone. 

FC Inter, the crowned champions playing for their fans against Atalanta at the Giuseppe Meazza. The good bye from midfielder Luis Figo... wow.

Bologna - Catania. Wow, this is for salvation and Bologna battling until the end under the leadership of top  Serie A scorer forward Marco Di Vaio with 23 goals. 

AS Roma - Torino.  Ouch, my gosh.. Torino  in deep  trouble because heading to Roma wiht 7 suspended players and they need to win. or will be relegated to the Serie B.

Palermo - Sampdoria, wow, guys, here a difficult moment with the declarations yesterday from Palermo President Zamparini saying that Ballardini wants to leave....  so, it will be his last match with Palermo?

Napoli - Chievo, the moment of glory for Chievo still celebrating their salvation.  A test for Napoli to win in front of their fans in the San Paolo Stadium.

Udinese - Cagliari, the pleasant surprise of the season  with Cagliari ending -- so far -- among the top teams when last season they struggled for salvation.  Well done for coach Massimiliano Allegri arriving from the Serie B to the A in style.
