By Anna Italia

Good morning guys ... well... not really good morning because bad news with suspension and fines....

Here are the decisions of the Sporting Judge Gianpaolo Tosel after the Italian Serie A Week 32 from Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2009.

Ouch.. tough love for Juventus for the racist chants aimed at Inter Milan forward Mario Balotelli during the Serie A Week 32 match  FC Juventus 1 - 1 Inter Milan on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

Point is that the Sporting Judge considered serious the racist against Balotelli and decided that Juventus should play their next match behind closed doors based on Article 11,  no. 3 and 18.  (May 3 Juventus - Lecce).  Talking about really controlling.. the FIGC cites the chants happening on the 4,26, 35, 41, and 42 minute of the first half and in the 11, 19, 22, 25, and 30 minute of the second half.  Chants being about discrimination. ..

ONE MATCH SUSPENSION for 9 players
:

Ariatti (Lecce), Tiago (Juventus), Volpi (Bologna), Barreto and Costa (Reggina), Amoruso (Siena), Paolo Cannavaro (Napoli), Giuseppe Mascara (Catania) and Mauri (Lazio).

SANCTIONS:

Hey, guys, get this one too... the FIGC sanctions Juventus with a fine of 10,000 euro because their supporters threw many bottles on the opponent side 'the Inter Milan section."   Similarly, Inter Milan also got an additional 1,000 euro fine for delaying the match in the second half for 3 minutes!!!!!!!  Oh my gosh guys...

LECCE got a fine of 5,000 euro "a titolo di responsabilità oggettiva per avere due suoi tesserati, allo stato non identificati, al termine della gara, negli spogliatoi, rivolto agli Ufficiali di gara espressioni ingiuriose».

Lecce team manager Mario Zanotti also punished until May 4, 2009.

Guys, good thing is that at least this week we only have 9 suspended players compared to the 20 suspended from last week!   That's some improvement.

What do you think of the fine for Juventus, Inter and Lecce?  Was the Sporting Judge decision of playing one match closed door for Juventus exaggerated, yes, no, and why?
