By Anna Italia

Here is the Weekly Roundup,  FIXTURES AND RESULTS with Scorers and Match Officials  of the 2008 - 2009 Italian Soccer Serie A Week 31- Twenty-First Round Matchday 31  Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12,  2009.

                   Hello, hello, hello, my friends!!!

All matches starting with a one minute silence in memory of the victims of the Abruzzo earthquake.

Tough battle for Lazio - AS Roma for the bragging rights of the city of Roma. Unbelievable guys, Lazio opening the score in the 2nd minute  with a goal by forward Goran Pandev.  Just two minutes after and BAMMMM   forward Mauro Zarate scoring to the delight of Lazio fans and the shocking faces from Roma fans.   In the 10th minute, Roma shortens the distance with a goal by defender Philippe Mexes.

Palermo with an almost "Mission Impossible" to beat FC Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  Yet, even when Palermo were losing 2-0 after the goals of Mario Balotelli and Ibrahimovic, the fighting spirit of the PINK BOYS put to test!   Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic becoming the top scorer of the Serie A with 20 goals!!!!!   Incredible so, Palermo returning in the second half to equalize the score!!!!!  Yep!  Just like you are reading guys!   First it was forward Edison Cavani to shorten the difference in the 73rd minute.  Three minutes later, young forward Davide Succi who came as a substitute for Antonio Nocerino in the 57th minute.  Guys, Succi equalizing the score in the 76th minute to the surprise of all Inter players and fans... and happily surprising Palermo fans!

AC Milan consolidates their third position to guarantee a spot in the Champions League next season. Big help by Genoa beating Juventus and now the difference between Milan and Juventus for the second position is only 2points.  Guys, in he match Coach Carlo Ancelotti sent off after protesting. hey, hey, hey, talking about Referee decisions... Ancelotti was upset and losing his temper in the 37th minute when Referee Saccani gives a direct free kick but not where the foul was committed by Yepes... So, Saccani did not take it and BAMMMM STOP... a red card for Ancelotti... HO HO HO!!! Shocking decision and Ancelotti had to go to the Tribune to sit next to VP Adriano Galliani. I was ready to give a RED CARD TO THE REFEREE!!!! helloooooooo...

GENOA - JUVENTUS, ..SURPRISEEEE!!!!   GENOA BEATING JUVENTUS and by now guys... the Scudetto seem having the name written all over  with "INTER".....   Juventus playing with 10 men when midfielder Mauro Camoranesei was sent off in the 65th minute for a bad  foul on Giuseppe Sculli.

Napoli coach Roberto Donadoni unable to win his first victory with the Partenopei at the San Paolo Stadium. A goalless draw and so many questions for what's happening with Napoli!

So many expectations for the Sampdoria duo Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Cassano, and they did not disappoint!!!!   Guys, Pazzini opening the score for Sampdoria and then Antonoi Cassano converting 2 penalties!!!!!  Amazing!!

Poor Reggina "the Queen" is sinking so fast to the relegation!   Guys, Reggina practically with no hope after losing at home against Udinese.  Still in the last position with only 20 points, Reggina will need more than a super miracle to remain in the Serie A. Franco Brienza had the chance to deliver a wining goal but failed to convert a penalty.  Reggina remained with 9 players after 2 players sent off: Maurizio Lanzaro in teh 55th minute and Antonino Barilla in the 62nd minute. Udinese at the end got energy and Floro Flores scoring 2 goals to guarantee a victory.
Reggina 0 - 2 Udinese
