Guys, an early celebration with the AZZURRINI on their preparatory test before the UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group Stage.

The Azzurrini were losing after Holland opened the score in the 22nd minute with Ajax midfielder Siem de Jong with an assist by Gianni Zuiverloon. The turn for FC Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco to equalize the score in the 45th minute from the edge of the area blasting goalkkepr Piet Veldhuizen.

Definitely, it is the moment for the rejuvenation of Italian football.  First Pazzini and Rossi in the Italian National Team, now FC Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco scoring the equalizing goal in the friendly match  against Holland U-21.

Guys, I don't know what's going with the module 4-3-3 formation because Coach Pierluigi Casiraghi used today a TRIDENTE!!!!  Is it the virus of the Trident  going around?  The trio formed by FC Inter forward Mario Balotelli, FC Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco and Cagliari forward Robert Acquafresca.

It seems the Under 21 and the National team are being lured by the "Tridente" formula???

Making his debut with the  Under 21 was 18-years old FC Inter defender Davide Santon!   Thumbs up!!!!

Giovinco has the drive to grow and become a top footballer.  Let me tell you that he is accomplishing his objective.  You bet Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri is observing Giovinco closely too.  There is much competition in Juventus with Amauri, Del Piero, Iaquinta and Trezeguet. Still, I think Giovinco has a chance to make a contribution wiht the Azzurrini and Juventus.

The other young promise playing today was my favorite Cagliari player forward Robert Acquafresca!!!!

POPO PO PO PO POO   Next friendly match of the Under 21 is on June 9, 2009 against Denmark to prepare for the UEFA Euro Under 21 Championship Group Stage match against Serbia on June 16, 2009.

In the video they say the goal was from Dessena, but in reality was Giovinco scoring.  Originally, it seemed it was Dessena but he did not touch the ball...  so, let's cheer for GIOVINCOOOOOOOO

What do you think of  the group of young footballers knocking at the door of the Italian National team?  Should Giovinco be called up for the big team like Giuseppe Rossi, yes, no, and why?

Are you confident the Azzurrini can make it for the EURO Under 21 match against Serbia with this preparatory match?
