Good morning... wake up guys..... grab your cup of coffee, it's time to follow up the second day training of our Italian National team for the 2010 World Cup Qualifying match Italy - Republic of Ireland on Wednesday April 1, 2009.

This is the schedule / calendar of the Italian National team today,  Monday, March 30, 2009

h. 10.30 Italian National Training at the Technical Center of Coverciano  (open to the press)
h. 13.30 Press Conference with players

There is only 1 training today in the morning, no training in the afternoon.

-  First news guys is about the "tactical" change in the formation.  Italy Head Coach Marcello Lippi is changing his 4-3-3 formation used for the match Montenegro 0 - 2 Italy,  wow, wow, wow...

-   The alternative is a 4-2-3-1 with Dossena instead of Fabio Grosso, AS Roma midfielder Matteo Brighi instead of Sampdoria midfielder Angelo Palombo Pazzini and Giuseppe Rossi taking the place of FC Juventus forward Vincenzo Iaquinta and Udinese forward Fabio Quagliarella.   So,  it means that Simone Pepe who took the place of Di Natale when he was injured is now fighting for post too....

-  Training this morning was divided in 2 parts: athletism and a practice match game.

-  Lippi giving his pep talk to the players for around 20 minutes, especially attention to Andrea Dossena.

-  First practice match game was 8 against 8 without goalkeepers paying attention to some of the problems during the match with Montenegro.

-  Lippi tried the following formation: Defense Zambrotta, Cannavaro Bocchetti and Dossena.
Midfielders: Andrea Pirlo, Daniele De Rossi, and Matteo Brighi.

-  Second practice match game 9 against 9 with goalkeepers. Hey, guys, here is the good thing because Giuseppe Rossi scores and Giampaolo Pazzini scored 3 goals and two Fabio Quagliarella!!!!!   Hey, guys, Pazzini is rocking!!!!!  Oh my gosh, I am so happy for Pazzini and wish he continues with this magic moment to score also in the match against the Republic of Ireland.

-  Following individual trainings to recover from minor injuries: Vincenzo Iaquinta, Giorgio Chiellini, and Simone Pepe.

-  So, guys, after the traning, this is the possible formation for the Republic of Ireland:

Goalkeeper:  Gigi Buffon
Defenders:  Gianluca Zambrotta, Fabio Cannavaro, Giorgio Chiellini, and Andrea Dossena.
Midfielders:  Daniele De Rossi, Andrea Pirlo, and Matteo Brighi.
Forwards: Simone Pepe, Giampaolo Pazzini, and Giuseppe Rossi.

This is the schedule of the Italian National Team  for tomorrow:

Tuesday, March 31, 2009 - Technical Center of Coverciano
