Gigi Buffon declared "The National team is still a dream for me, I care so much for the Azzurri that I don't want to give up. Every appearance, every called up, every match with the National team is the maximum for me."
On Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano
Guys, Gigi Buffon when asked about the issue of Antonio Cassano, he respneded "He would be helpful." Immediately, Buffon admits that just like all coaches, Lippi "must make his choices." Simply put, guys, let's be diplomatic. Though, I am happy to see Buffon coming out for Cassano.
My question will be if Cassano gets a chance and won't disappoint those supporting him. I hope he gets his chance. Honestly, I would have expected a duo Pazzini-Cassano in the plans of Lippi because they are proven to be an effective duo scoring consistently.
Just like Buffon says "I don't thnk the doors of the National team are close for anybody. Journalists keep asking Buffon about Cassano and the main issue is about Cassano's character.
Well, Buffon says, "Cassano behaves well during the EURO 2008. One like Cassano at his top level surely can be utile, helpful. To win we need champions and if Cassano is available for the team and the team available for thim the result is an explosive mix. Cassano has the technical skills to be number one. Cassano might be a little bit anarchist in his game but at 27 years old and his experience he can understand how things are done."

The rumors of Cassano moving to Juventus also asked and Buffon just saying that he would be happy to see Cassano reinforcing the team in case somebody desert. wow......
ON AMAURI - Wow, wow, wow, guys, here is the touchy subject. Journalist telling Buffon that Gennaro Gattuso and Luca Toni already hinted that they are not happy with the idea of Amauri playing for the Italian National team instead of waiting for his native country, Brazil.
Buffon has a different opinion. "We are a very united group and the eventual arrival of Amauri would not represent a problem. If he can help us improve and win, then he is welcome. If he will decide to play for Italy, he will do so because he will have a strong feeling for the Nazionale and is fair we welcome him if this happens."
Regarding the comments from Gattuso and Luca Toni, Buffon said that maybe they talked like that because the whole thing has been taking forever.
Guys, I think Luca Toni and Gattuso have some valid points. I mean, don't you think Amauri handled the whole situation not properly? My personal view will be that of Buffon, if he comes to the Azzurri he will be welcomed, but I rather see him play for Brazil.
I mean, if you want to play for one country just say it but don't keep saying I will let you know in the future. That only means "he is not sure."
The Scudetto and Mourinho
Buffon believes that Juventus can still win the Scudetto. Wow, wow, wow... the comments on Mourinho are not that "sweet." Buffon says that Mourinho "is serious and intelligent, but that sometimes his comments are out of place." Buffon says this because he does not seem the need of why Mourinho has to talk bad (infangare) his colleagues.
Here is the good point that Buffon thinks the Scudetto will be also determined from the direct match between Inter and Juventus.!
