"What surprises me is that Adriano's goal is considered valid by the referee and linesman, whereas the one scored by Milan is annulled for a gesture by Seedorf which was surely less voluntary," AC Milan VP Adriano Galliani

By Anna Italia

Life must go on and let's put the MIlan derby  aside.  I totally agree with Adriano Galliano  that by now it is useless to talk about the defeat and Adriano's clear ---at least for me guys, --- intention using his arm to score the goal.  Though, we must continue supporting our Milan.

Tomorrow is the UEFA Cup and you guys know my blog  Italian Soccer Serie A  supports all Italian teams in international competition because they represent Italian football. So, I am supporting AC Milan, Sampdoria, Udinese, and Fiorentina for the UEFA Cup and AS Roma, FC Inter, and FC Juventus for the Champions League.

These are the declarations of Adriano Galliani, general manager of Milan,  this morning at the Malpensa airport before the departure towards Bremen: “Werder Bremen is a good team, who are coming from the Champions League, where they missed out on the qualification by little. I remember a game on their pitch 20 years ago, even in that case there were referee episodes, but I remember it as a very intense evening with a lot of rain. This game arrives in the moment fixed by the calendar, the Uefa Cup is important to enrich the our trophies, but our objective remains the league with the relative qualification to the Champions League for next year, avoid the preliminary stages which is a very important thing, therefore we must jump back in the league to win a place amongst the top three. Tomorrow evening’s game is one of the most difficult games from now up to the Uefa Cup final.

MILAN E HD: ADRIANO GALLIANI

The derby?
It's useless to talk about. We must talk when we win. Many wins taught me that you must talk when you win and when you lose you must stay quiet, everyone has the eyes to see. However Milan did not play worse than Inter, even though being a fan makes you see the games differently. I'm not interested if Adriano is suspended or not, I'm not after the referee mistakes. Rosetti did not see, I believe that if he had seen it he would have whistled: he did not see it, it can happen. It went like this and life goes on.

Beckham?
We are negotiating, trying to solve the problem compatibly with a series of things. There is still time. The will of the player is to stay. There is still a bit of distance but on Friday could be the decisive day, we shall see how the situation evolves. Nesta? I'm not a doctor, but when they talk about Milan's defence, they forget that a great player like Nesta is out. Without counting that right now players like Gattuso and Kaka are not playing.”

This is what he declared yesterday (and published today) to the Corriere dello Sport Stadio:

“I would prefer to avoid comments on the derby, but what surprises me is that Adriano's goal is considered valid by the referee and linesman, whereas the one scored by Milan is annulled for a gesture by Seedorf which was surely less voluntary than the one made by the Brazilian. We would like that there were more consistent judgements. It cannot happen that within a week, first they decide one way and then in the exact opposite. However, I don't want to start a controversy with the Nerazzurri directors who are talking about a possible Ambrosini expulsion. I leave to them the please to comment about it. Evidently I saw a different game. Maybe, the eye of the fan deforms the reality. Football is like this: who wins is right, who loses must stay quiet. In any case, we confide in the professionalism of the referee designator. He does this job full time, therefore he will surely evaluate what happened and will intervene in the best way.

The derby?
I read on the newspapers that the best player on the pitch was their goalkeeper: it means that we did something. Milan always remained in the game, shot towards goal and created various chances with Pato. We have many problems in the defensive phase, due to the many injuries. Milan was never squashed by another big team and anyway we faced the derby without a series of important players, start from Kaka who is our most representative player, arriving to Nesta, Gattuso and Borriello. Werder? There is nothing that can determine the future of our coach, Carlo Ancelotti.”

These are the declarations, always by Adriano Galliani, to Tuttosport: “I took a path in the past year and I want to continue in this direction: I don’t speak about referees. I remain convinced that whoever loses must remain silent. In my opinion the game was conditioned by some episodes, but I confide a lot in designator Collina. He was the best referee in the world and we have a lot of trust in his abilities. If I think about Seedorf’s goal disallowed against Reggina, I note that Milan was penalized twice in seven days. In the stands I also saw a penalty on Inzaghi and another on Ambrosini, but these must have been hallucinations of a Rossonero fan. Milan? Playing without world champions like Kaka, Nesta and Gattuso is not the best thing ever. But injuries are part of the game. We played a good football, but lost 2-1. Uefa Cup? We did not change our attention on this trophy. It’s a trophy in which we want to do well, but we must return to the Champions League since Milan is absolutely the best Italian team in Europe.”
