AC Milan Official 2008 - 2009 UEFA Cup List "Alessandro Nesta and David Beckham added while Borriello and Emerson are out"

Well, guys, AC Milan made only two modifications from the original list for the 2008 - 2009 UEFA Cup.  Good thing is that even though midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is still recovering from injury he was not substituted.  Hip hip hurrah!

The two changes made by AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti were the incorporataion of defender Alessandro Nesta and midfielder David Beckahm. Out of the original list from September 1, 2008 are Emerson and forward Marco Borriello, who due to technical and physical recovery choices, will still be able to play in the league, which remains the first objective of the Rossoneri's season.

This is the new AC Milan Official Uefa Cup list announced by midnight of February 1 2009:

GOALKEEPERS: Dida, Christian Abbiati, Zeljko Kalac;

DEFENDERS:
Paolo Maldini, Kakha Kaladze, Gianluca Zambrotta, Marek Jankulovski, Giuseppe Favalli, Philippe Senderos, Daniele Bonera, Darmian, Pasini, Luca Antonini, Alessandro Nesta;

MIDFIELDERS:
 Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini, Matthieu Flamini, David Beckham;

STRIKERS:
Alexandre Pato, Filippo Inzaghi, Clarence Seedorf, Kakà, Andriy Shevchenko, Ronaldinho.

 In the sign of continuity, 23 our of 25 Rossoneri players who were inserted in the Uefa Cup list at the start of the season, on September 1, have been confirmed.

According to the UEFA Rules, a maximum of three modifications could have be made.  Milan will start the UEFA Cup competition against Werder Bremen.  You better buy your AC Milan Tickets  in advance.

Milan and Werder Bremen have played 4 matches already. Milan winning two and two draws. Though, with Milan inconsistency and injuries the challenge for the Rossoneri will be tested.  Ideally, the incorporation of midfielder David Beckham will be helpful as Beckham has proven to be a key player with assists and even scoring. 

 

The September 1, 2008 list was: GOALKEEPERS: Dida, Abbiati, Kalac; DEFENDERS: Maldini, Kaladze, Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Favalli, Senderos, Bonera, Darmian, Pasini, Antonini; MIDFIELDERS: Emerson, Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Flamini; ATTACKERS: Borriello, Pato, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Kakà, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho.
