FC JUVENTUS - CAGLIARI (Before the match)
Olimpico di Torino Stadium
2008 - 2009 Serie A Standing - FC Juventus 2nd position, 43 points
                                              - Cagliari 9th position, 31 points

In the Serie A Week 3 Juventus beat Cagliri at the Sant'Elia Stadium with a goal by Amauri Cagliari 0 - 1 Juventus.  Today, it is a different story.  Cagliari celebrates  a well deserved victory ...  an event not happening in 41 years in the Olimpico di Torino!!!!!   A moment of glory and you bet Cagliari players will be singing happily tunes all the way back to Cagliari. Come on, guys, would it be "Volare, oh oh, cantare, oh oh.. nel blu dipinto di blu, felice di stare lassu"  LOL

Stretta di mano

FC Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri and Cagliari Coach Massimiliano Allegri....

JUVENTUS (4-4-2): Buffon; Mellberg, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Marchionni, Sissoko, Zanetti, Nedved; Del Piero, Amauri.

CAGLIARI (4-3-1-2): Marchetti; Pisano, Bianco, Canini, Agostini; Biondini, Conti, Fini, Cossu; Jeda, Acquafresca.

Referee Banti  whistles the beginning of the match.....

I cannot believe it yet... wow, Juventus falling tragically and at home!!!!  What surprises me is that Saint goalkeeper Gigi Buffon conceded 3 goals, ouch!!!  Gee, I know Buffon is coming back from injury and is recovering his best shape, but conceding 3 goals?? Oh well, let's not blame everything on Buffon, but how about Juventus' defense??? Anybody see the defense?????  Do they remain in the dressing room while Cagliari was rocking all over the pitch???

Point is that Cagliari is winning their 4th consecutive match since beating Lazio in the Olimpico di Roma while Juventus awaited comeback as predicted by Coach Claudio Ranieri did not happen.  Credit goes to Cagliari players not giving up or coming to the Olimpico with "a defeated mentality.," On the contrary, they arrived to Turin with a suitcase full of hope, dreams.... and it became a reality.

The cold shower arrives early guys at the Olimpico di Torino.  Imagine, in the 16th minute, BAMMMMMMMMM  a wake up call for Juve when Cagliari midfielder sends an assist to Davide Biondini.  Wow, guys, I was in total shock when watching the match and Biondini heading the ball from the center of the box blasting FC Juventus Saint goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to the bottom left corner... wow.. mamma mia!!! I was like hum? hello?!!! What happened!!!???
FC Juventus 0 - 1 Cagliari

Sad part is that not even Juventus Captain Alessandro Del Piero could save his beloved Juventus.  Sure, Del Piero made a great assist for the first goal from a corner kick. in the 32 minute.  Del Piero with a brilliant kick finds the head of Mohamed Sissoko heading the ball from the center of the box blasting Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti to the bottom right corner,
FC Juventus 1 - 1 Cagliari

In the 38th minute, a moment of redemption for Juventus when the Golden Boy Pavel Nedved blasts Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti for a partial victory.  Nedved with a right footed shot from the left side of the box gives a moment of joy to Juve fans at the Olimpico blasting Marchetti to the bottom left corner.  I love seeing Nedved scoring.
FC Juventus 2 - 1 Cagliari

Well guys, in the second half a total determination from Cagliari.  In the 54th minute, Andrea Cossu sends an assist to Brazilian forward Jeda shooting from the center of the box blasting FC Juventsu saint goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to the bottom left corner.  You bet it was an explosion of joy for the few Cagliari fans in the Olimpico but President Cellino was in heaven!  What a match from Cagliari, guys.
FC Juventsu 2 - 2 Caglairi

What should I say, guys?   GRANDE CAGLIARI!   In the 78th minute, you see Andrea Lazzari who substituted Andrea Cossu in the 69th minute, making the assist to forward Alessandro Matri, coming as a substitute in the 61st minute for Robert Acquafresca, DELIVERING THE WINNING GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLL  the total upset for Juventus and the MOMENT OF REDEMPTION for Cagliari not beating Juventus in 10  years !!!!!!   Matri with a right footed shot from the center of the box blasting Buffon to the bottom left corner and shattering the dream of Juventus to shorten the distance with Inter! More than a goal it was a BAM, BAM, BAM!!!!!!
FC Juventus 2 - 3 Cagliari

Inter and AC Milan fans must be applauding Cagliari and tomorrow the big day.

Juventus lost a great chance to keep the race for the Scudetto alive!   If Inter beat Torino tomorrow the points difference will be 11 points!  Now, guys, the lucky fellows and cheering for Cagliari's victory are AC MILAN because they can be ahead of Juventus if they beat Lazio tomorrow following closely Inter. Oh wow... welcome to the Serie A !!!!!!
