As expecated, Ranieri starts with midfielder Sebastian Giovinco while Captain Alessandro Del Piero is on the bench. Del Piero is still injured and rather give him resting time to have him ready for the Serie A Week 16 match Juventus - Milan because Juve already qualified for the next phase in the Champions League

Wow, I was really surprised with Juve first chance to open the score after a corner conceded by Vitaly Kazantsev in the 2nd minute!  Sebastian Giovinco, la formica atomica (the athom ant) sends the cross to defender Nicola Legrottaglie who heads the ball from the center of the box but misses to the right!!!  An early sign.

However, things did not workout as planned.

In the 19th minute, a similar situation guys.  Following a corner, Giovinco sends the assist to Amauri who heads the ball from the center of the box and missing to the right!  Mamma mia!

In the 22nd minute, Giovinco misses a chance to score from a direct free kick shooting from long range on the left and missing on the right! I am already nervous with many chances for Juventus and missing the target!  Come on Juve!!!

Oh my gosh!  In the 23rd minute, it is Bate to create danger!Mikhail Sivakou with a right footed shot from outside the box to the center of the goal and Juventus goalkeeper Manninger saves!  Wow... so close guys...  Juve must wake up!!

In the 26th minute, a great combo between Sebastian Giovinco and Amauri but is blocked!

Is not possible guys, in the 36th minute, from a direct free kick Giovinco with a right footed shot from outside the box misses the target by sending the ball too high!!!

Two minutes later, Juventus missing another chance!  In the 38th minute, GIovinco sends an assist to Mellberg following a corner. Mellberg heads the ball from the center of the box and missing to the left. It seems there will be no goals in the first half.

Can you believe such a bad luck... wow, so many chances for Juventus and still no goals?  Oh wow.  Thanks God Juve already qualified to the next round!

Oh, oh, spaghetti oh!  In the 52nd minute, Referee Costas grants a penalty to Juventus conceded by Mkhail Sivakou for a handball in the penalty area. Gee.. calm down guys, Bate Sergei Veremko is booked with a yellow card. Well, here is the chance for Juve... Sebastian Giovinco gets set, readky, shoots....what!!! really!!?? what happened?!!! You won't believe it guys, I cannot believe it myself and I don't think either Giovinco beleives it!  Giovinco fails to convert the penalty shooting the ball toooooo hiiiiiiggghhhh!!!!

Now, I am mad.  Giovinco having the chance to be a protagonist covering for Captain Del Piero and not profiting the opportunity?  I mean, I love Giovinco but so many missing opportunities and then shooting this bad penalty???  Oh, oh.. he must have been nervous or what??? You tell me...

In the 57th minute two substitutions guys.

BATEzmitry Likhtarovich out, Aliaksandr Valadzko in

Juventus: Amauri out, Alessandro Del Piero in.  Why Amauri????   I hope Del Piero can change the score. I feel so proud of Del Piero for all what he represents!

In the 57th minute, an assist by Giovinco to midfielder Pavel Nedved shooting from the center of teh box to the center of the goal and is saved guys!!!!

In the 61st minute, another substitution for Bate. Igor Stasevich out, Pavel Nehaichik in

30 more minutes and no goals guys!!!!

In the 62nd minute, no way, another missed opportunity from a direct free kick by Sebastian Giovinco shooting from long range on the left missing to the left!

In the 69th minute, gee, not possible guys!  The golden boy Pavel Nedved with a brilliant right footed shot from outsdie the box and is saved by Bate goalkeeper!!!!

Again??? no...!!! Guys, Nedved is really battling and putting all his heart in this match.  In the 72nd minute, another save from Bate goalkeeper after Nedved shooted from outside the box to the top right corner!!!

Anyway, bravo Nedved!!!

n the 81st minute, Alessandro Del Piero gets an assist by Marco Marchionni and heads the ball from the center of the area and you won't believe it.. but Bate goalkeeper saves!  My goodness sake guys!  I think the man of the match must be the goalkeeper denying Juve the joy to shout a goal!!!!

In the 89th minute, Bate makes their last substitution: Sergey Krivets out, Aliaksandr Ermakovich in

In the 90th minute, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri makes a substitution. I think it is more to honor the great performance from Pavel Nedved to get the standing ovation from Juventus fans.  Nedved out, Luca Castiglia in.

Well done Nedved, thanks buddy!

That's it guys!   Match ends 0-0 no goals!!!!

Now, time for Juventus to prepare for the Italian Serie A Week 16 match.. a tough match against AC Milan!!!  Hey guys, if Juve could not score today at the Olimpico, maybe is a good sign for Milan to beat Juve or get the draw at the Olimpico. What do you think?
