The great success of Juventus beating Real Madrid not only in the first leg at the Olimpico Stadium, but also in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium makes this victory a turning point in the comeback of Juventus.

Last time Juventus beat Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu was in 1962.  It passed 46 years to see Juventus  under the leadershiop of Juventus Captain Alessandro Del Piero beating the Merengues. 

Imagine that 2 weeks ago everybody thought Juventus was in total crisis and many predicted the sacking of Ranieri.  Boy, am I glad that Juventus proved them wrong. 



Ranieri says he is happy beating Real Madrid because he beat them also when he was the coach of Atletico di Madrid and Valencia. Hey guys, Ranieri seems to know pretty well Real Madrid returning now to the San Bernabeu with a new team and beating them too. Wow.

Ranieri says, “Our first objective was to qualify to the next round. Now we will do everything to win the group.”

Chillieni said, “We found the spirit we had last year. Now we must also progress in the Serie A to reduce the margin from the teams at the top of the table.”  He also highlights the secrets of Del Piero's great sucess:  Being consistent with training, despite being 34 years (on Nov. 9) Del Piero improves every time, preparing each match carefully.  Chiellini says Del Piero is an inspiration  for all of them.  

Chiellini also responded that even if they were in Serie B two years ago, they all remained together because they wanted to be back in the main tournaments.

Ranieri also commented that if Italian Head Coach Marcello Lippi does not call Del Piero for the friendly match, it is ok because he wants to test young players to prepare a new team. There is no problem  between Lipppi and Del Piero.  Actually, reporter Amedeo Goria said that Del Piero even mentioned that he kept communication with Lippi and that he understands the situation.
