The big moment for Juventus and Roma. Wow, guys, I am so nervous about this match.  If Roma lose they will be practically in the relegation zone!

I am watching the match on RAI ITALIA

Here is the starting eleven formation for FC JUVENTUS by Coach Claudio Ranieri

Manninger, Grygera, Nicola Legrottaglie, Giorgio Chiellini, Molinaro, Marchionni, Sissoko, Tiago, Pavel Nedved, Alessandro Del Piero, and Amauri

Here is the starting eleven formation for AS ROMA by Coach Luciano Spalletti:

Doni, Christian Panucci, Philippe Mexes, Juan,

Riise, Daniele De Rossi, David Pizarro, Rodrigo Taddei, Simone Perrotta, Mirko Vucinic, and Julio Baptista.

Get set guys!  Referee Rizzoli whistles the beginning of the match.....

In the 6th minute, AS Roma defender Christian Panucci tries a long distance shot for Rodrigo Taddei who is found offside.

Well, attempt is clear that Roma won't be playing a defensive match. It is offensive since the beginning.

Here is a win or win for Roma but it is not that Juventus is in the mood to give a helping hand to Roma.  Juventus also needs to win this match if they want to keep the race for the scudetto alive.

Wow, such an intense match!  Imagine, in the 7th minute, Roma midfielder David Pizarro gets the first yellow card of the match for a handball.

Juventus fans are claiming to the "SPIRITUS JUVENTUS motivating their players.  Will Juventus Captain Alessandro Del Piero be able to deliver a victory?

Roma captain Francesco Totti did not make it to this match for a knee injury.  Responsibility is for Mirko Vucinic and Julio Baptista.

In the 18th minute, Tiago provides an assist to Juventus forward Del Piero mising the target!

What a scary moment!!!!   Roma forward Mirko Vucinic almost silence the Olimpico in the 19th minute when his shot hit the post!!!!

wow, suddenly Roma is being a clear and present danger for Juventus defense.

You should see Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi battling like a true gladiator trying to help his team.

I have not seen Amauri in action, yet.  Here is Amauri's chance to show "he can help Juventus."

Well, maybe, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri will have to bring soon midfielder Mauro Camoranesi because Juventus needs to create goal opportunities and Camoranesi is the one fueling the area.

In the 37th minute, Referee Rizzoli grants a free kick to Juventus after a foul by Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta on Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini.

Taking the free kick is Captain and Juventus flag Alessandro Del Piero.  Juventus fans rejoice!!!! In the 38th minute, a great goal from this free kick by Captain Alessandro Del Piero.  What a goal it went over Roma goalkeeper Doni. What a way to celebrate the goal from Del Piero and his fans adoring him!!!
FC JUVENTUS 1 - 0 AS ROMA

Grande Del Piero!  Guys, let me jump and celebrate Del Piero's goal!!!!!  Go Del Piero, Go Del Piero, Go Del Piero!
What a way to celebrate Juventus 11th birthday with a goal from the most emblematic symbol of La Vecchia Signora: Del Piero.

Click the video to watch the goal of Del Piero.

Now guys, it is big problem for the Roman gladiators who will need to score two goals to win this match or one to equalize.  Roma must concentrate and keep focused.

Juventus will not let go and I will wait for another goal maybe by Amauri or a doppieta by Del Piero.

In the 46th minute, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti starts the second half with his first substitution.
Rodrigo Taddei out, Jeremy Menez in

wow, two minutes later and in the 48th minute GOOOALLLLL!!! Imagine an assist by Captain Alessandro Del Piero to Marco Marchionni who shoots the ball to the bottom left corner blasting Roma goalkeeper Doni! A total party at the Olimpico di Torino and a dark day for the Roman gladiators who are now closer to the relegation far from being a serious contender for the scudetto.
FC JUVENTUS 2 - 0 AS ROMA

Celebrating Marchionni's goal and better have that birthday cake ready to cut!   Party for Juventus.

Guys, Del Piero is playing an excellent match!  He is totally rejuvenated and being a consistent motor for Juventus. Grande Del Piero!!!  Just hope Italian Head Coach Marcello Lippi is watching the match and call Del Piero!!!

In the 58th minute, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti makes his second substitution.
Christian Panucci out, Cicinho in

I hope this change helps Roma because they need to score at least "the honor goal."

In the 68th minute, Del Piero sends an assist to forward Amauri who shoots from the center of the box to the bottom left corner and it was saved by Roma goalkeeper Doni!   Wow.... what a chance for  Amauri!

In the 70th minute, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti makes his last substitution.
David Pizzarro out, Stefano Okaka in

Nothing seems to work for Roma.  How sad!   I am not used to see Roma in this poor condition.

In the 74th minute, Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri
makes another substitution.
Amauri out, Vincenzo Iaquinta in

Applauses for Amauri too. Guys, Amauri was one of the best players too.  Only bad thing he could not score.  Well done Amauri.

In the 77th minute, Juventus Coach Ranieri makes his second substitution.
Zdenek Grygera out, Olof Mellberg in

Roma seems totally nervous!   I don't blame them, they are losing. Though, these are the moments where a team shows personality and character.  So far, guys, the best player of the match is Alessandro Del Piero.

In the 81st minute, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri makes his last substitution.
Pavel Nedved out, Paolo De Ceglie in.

Nedved leaves the field with a standing ovation.  Hey, thumbs up Nedved!  What a player, guys.  Truly, the "old guard" Nedved and Del Piero are making the difference with Juventus displaying great football and grinta. Their drive is remarkable.

In the 85th minute, Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta provides an assist to "La Bestia Baptista" who missed the target!!!!

Five more minutes and Roma seems destined to suffer their fourth consecutive defeat!

I feel so sorry to see Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi fighting with all his heart but the team is not responding.

Mediterranean DietIn the 88th minute, wow, another chance for Marchionni to score when shooting from outside the box to the center of the goal but Roma goalkeeper Doni already had enough and saves!!!!  It would have been devastating for Roma to concede another goal.

Definitely, it is a crisis for Roma. There is no point to deny it.

Juventus fans applaud their players and it is an important victory for Juventus for the Serie A Standing.

Now, everybody can go and have a piece of birthday cake with a glass of champagne to toast for Juventus 111th Birthday.   See you later guys, cheer.
