Let's read the news from the front page of Italy's sports newspaper "Il Corriere dello Sport" from this morning Wednesday, October 29, 2008.

FIORENTINA
Headline says, "Della Valle: Rispect for Gilardino. Fiorentina President defends Gila: Though the match today be a party of football."
Anna Italia Opinion - I must say that the headline shocks me a lot. Why? Well, Fiorentina President Della Valle asking rispect for Gilardino while Gilardino did not respect the rules of good football.
I like Gilardino, but I was not happy with his anti sportsmanship of "voluntarily scoring with his hand" and openly celebrating the goal when all Palermo players near the action stopped to protest because it was obvious that Gilardino used his arm to score.
So what respect? It upsets me even more Gilardio's attitude after the match going to the TV saying it was involuntarily. All replays / moviola show that it was intentional.
It would have been more honest from Gilardino to admit he made a mistake, do like Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi did when he scored with the hand and told the referee to invalidate his goal. Wow, that attitude was high class and deserving respect.
The Sporting Justice suspended Gilardino for 2 matches after evaluating the TV replay and said it was voluntarily.
Fiorentina appealed the decision and it was revoked.
Palermo president Zamparini was satisfied with the confirmation of the sporting justice.
Here is where Della Valle was not happy and most Fiorentina. Ah, ok, wait a minute, Della Valle said in the article that he knew that the appeal was going to be revoked. Yet, Fiorentina appeal as a solidarity for their player. In this case, I have nothing to say against Della Valle. If your own team won't defend you, then, you will be cooked and burned like an old chicken in the barbeque grill.
Wait ... there is more. According to Della Valle, Gilardino was massacrated for his action. For heaven sake, what was he expecting? To be acclaimed with flowers for a handball goal and exaggerated celebration? Well, let's conclude this episode by saying that according to Della Valle, Gilardino was sorry and apologize.
End of story. What do you think?
FIORENTINA - INTER
Headline says, "Great Championship Night: Fiorentina-Inter, Show and Polemics"
Anna italia Opinion - I totally agree with the headline. It is a great night for the Serie A Week 9. Fiorentina - Inter is one of the most expected matches. There is only one point difference between Fiorentina (16) and Inter (17). Inter, Udinese and Napoli have 17 points each and share the top position. Yet, it is Udinese being in the first place for goal difference.
Fiorentina-Inter will be a show and surrounded by polemics.
Fiorentina with the on going topic of forward Alberto Gilardino handball goal against Palermo and the confirmation of his 2 match suspension. Inter with a tough coach Mourinho taking extreme measures for indiscipline players. Inter now that is risking big time if losing this match.
FC INTER
Headline says, "Mourinho: Adriano Sent Home. He Arrives late to Training. Stay home with Julio Cruz. Forgiven Balotelli and Obinna."
Anna Italia Opinion - Oh well, what a tough love and showing Inter players who is the boss! Inter coach Jose Mourinho was clear when taking the job as coach. He told his rules to the players, including being strict on trainings. Mourinho said that whoever arrives late to trainings was going to be sent home. They already knew the rule. Well, guess what, what?!
Forward Adriano already arrived late in the first training and was forgiven because his child was born. Though, why he tested Mourinho again? On Monday October 27, Adriano arrived late to the morning training session because he was ALL NIGHT PARTYING with AC Milan forward Ronaldinho and Juventus midfielder Sissoko at Discotheque Luminal until 4:30 a.m. Hello, you certainly did not expect Adriano to be "fit enough and alert." He could not make it and show up to trainings late only to find out that "he was not an untouchable." Mourinho sent him home for arriving late, period.
The surprise was that Mourinho forgave forwards Mario Balotelli and Victor Obinna after he publicly criticized them. Obinna and Balotelli did not follow his orders in the match against Genoa which upset Mourinho. Yet, he forgave them and included them in the called up list for the match against Fiorentina. Funny thing, Mourinho also called up Hernan Crespo, a player he really does not like. Well, he had no choice...

A Week 9 - Ninth Round Match FIORENTINA - FC INTER "Adiano and Julio
Cruz punished are out"
Napoli - Milan - Juventus fighting to be in the top
The article is about the fierce battle from Napoli to remain in the top position, Milan to reach the first position, and Juventus to do a miracle with a barely complete team with almost fit players.
Napoli is in the third position with 17 points, Milan in the fourth position with 16 points, Juventus in the 10th position with 12 points. Wow, you bet why Juve is fighting to win today against Bologna. Losing will be waving good bye to the Scudetto!
The real battle will be among the top three Inter, Udinese, and Napoli having 17 points each. If all three win their respective matches, they will keep the top position with 20 points each and position determined by their goal differences.
Guess what guys, Barcelona is interested for the transfer market of Napoli defender Fabiano Santacroce!
ARGENTINA
Headline says, "Maradona the new Argentina Head Coach."
Anna Italia Opinion - Wow, guys, former Napoli forward Diego Armando Maradona is now the Argentina Head Coach after Alfio Basile resigned. Congrats to Maradona and we wish him well.
AS ROMA
Roma - Sampdoria. Guys this is the match to follow after Fiorentina-Inter. If Roma lose they can go down to the relegation zone because they have only 7 points and are in the 15th position, Sampdoria also has 7 points and are in the 14th position. Both can go down to visit Reggina in the bottom position. A draw cannot help them. Roma is the one risking the most playing at the Olimpico di Roma.
