Here I am ready for our "Coffee Morning Newsreading." I am ready with my Cappuccino and a yogurt to share with you the news of the day. How about you? Are you ready with your coffee, tea, juice or snack? 

What an exciting day yesterday in the Champions League with a Super Alessandro Del Piero's goal guiding Juventus to victory while Fiorentina crumbled against Bayern Munich. Today, the turn for Inter-Anorthosis and Chelsea-Roma.

FC Juventus Champions League

Headline says, "Champions: Juve a step closer to the Eight Finals. Del Piero Giant, Fabulous Goal by a Giant Del Piero. Amauri scored. Juve 2 -1 Real Madrid. What a support from the public!

Anna Italia Opinion - What a perfect headline to describe the greatness of Juventus flag and Captain  Alessandro Del Piero. 

If you missed the match, I suggest to get a copy of the match. Del Piero's goal was super.  His determination, the grinta, his willpower to see Juventus back in Europe is beyond words.

-  FC Juventus 2 - 1 Real Madrid

Juventus is now the leader of Group H with 7 points followed by Real Madrid with 6 points, Bate 2, and Zenit 1.

Even UEFA President Michel Platini and former Juventus player was present at the Olimpico di Torino watching the match and crowns Del Piero.  Planini said   "the goal of Del Piero has been wonderful. It was a good match."

I agree with Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri that Juventus knows how to react. The victory against Real Madrid was a not an easy thing to accomplish. Yet, Juventus became a giant by the hand of Del Piero and beat the MERENGUES with former Juventino Fabio Cannavaro who had only words of admiration towards his ex teammates.

Great performance also from forward Amauri scoring his first official goal in the Champions League with Juventus which put Juve 2-1. Excellent and I am really happy for Amauri.

Also applause for another Juventus icon midfielder Pavel Nedved, just like mentioned by Ranieri, Nedved played a great match.

Juventus might say that they are "out of the so-called crisis."  Now, it's time to think about the TURIN DERBY against Torino.  I am taking a pause while typing this article to salute once again the great Alessandro Del Piero.  I love his remarks that he wanted to celebrate this victory with his son and that if he was sleeping he was going to wake him up to celebrate.  Bravo Del Piero, bravo Juventus.

FIORENTINA Champions League

Headline says, "Fiorentina Crumbled in Munich. Missed Many goals. Bayern 3-0 Fiorentina."

Anna Italia Opinion  - The opposite side of Juventus is here with Fiorentina. I was totally disappointed with the match. Fiorentina missed many goal opportunities. I still question why coach Cesare Prandelli could not make early changes and try Pazzini if seeing that Gilardino and Mutu were not having a good day. 

- BAYERN MUNICH 3 - 0 FIORENTINA

Chances were there for Fiorentina to win.  To make this defeat even painful was to see former Fiorentina star Luca Toni making the assist of the first goal for forward Miroslav Klose. 

Prandelli made the first substitution until the 64th minute replacing Santana for Jovetic. He waited then until the 74th minute to substitute Vargas for Massimo Gobbi.

The passing of Fiorentina to the next round is now in jeopardy.  Fiorentina is in the third position of Group F with 2 points.  First position is Bayern Munich with 7 points, Lyon with 5 in second postion and the last one is Steaua Bucharest with 1 point. 

FC Inter - Champions League

Today is the turn for Inter and for coach Jose Mourinho to deliver a victory at home.  Match is Inter - Anorthosis both having 4 points each.

Good thing for Inter is having their key players fit, including goalkeeper Julio Cesar and forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. As expected, Mourinho will go for the 4-3-3 formation.

News is that Mourinho  plan to use goalkeeper Francesco  Toldo.  In the article, he mentions the incorporation of Toldo, though not sure if it means that he will play the entire match or just as a substitute.

Challenge now for Captain Zanetti to shine like Del Piero yesterday with his Juve.    Adriano will be the "intrigue."  How will he play, will he continue showing consistent improvement?  Is the Imperatore back? I HOPE SO!


AS ROMA - Champions League

Anna Italia Opinion  I agree with the headline that it is a suspense, not apt for the heart.  Roma risks big time today against Chelsea.  Good thing is that in the last minute it seems that goalkeeper Doni is feeling better and ready to play.

Doni scared coach Luciano Spalletti when he had to abandon the training for a knee problem. The one not making it is midfielder David Pizarro for injury. 

The probable formation for Roma:

Doni, Mexes, Panucci, Juan, Riise, Daniele De Rossi, Brighi, Rodrigo Taddei, Alberto Aquilani, Mirko Vucini and Francesco Totti.

AC Milan

AC Milan forward KAKA voting for Barcelona forward Lionel Messi as the favorite to win the Golden Ball.

Milan President wants to sign Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, but Napoli says "NO, Lavezzi is not for sale." Hey, guys, I am a Milanista and love Lavezzi. Yet, I think Lavezzi should stay with Napoli because he has become an icon and since his transfer being the "running motor." 

I applaud the spirit of Napoli President De Laurentis for forming a strong Napoli by signing young players like German Denis and Marek Hamsik.
