Situation:  Sampdoria won the first leg SAMPDORIA 5 - 0 KAUNAS

Even if Sampdoria won the first leg like swimming freely, they must win this match to increase their points. Only the first 2 teams of each group passes to the next round.

Here is the starting eleven formation for Kaunas by coach José Couceiro:

Kurskis, Radzius, Zelmikas, Fridrikas, Larbi Arouri, Miklinevicius, Mendy, Ivaskevicius, Zubavicius, Mamic, and Ledesma.

Here is the starting eleven formation for Sampdoria by coach Walter Mazzarri:

Luca Castellazzi, Marius Stankevicius, Daniele Gastaldello, Jonathan Bottinelli, Marco Padalino, Daniele Dessena, Paolo Sammarco, Gennaro Delvecchio, Reto Ziegler, Bruno Fornaroli, and Emiliano Bonazzoli.

Not surprising that coach Mazzarri opted for Paulo Sammarco instead of Antonio Cassano.  A match - in theory - not difficult to win. The news was the return from injury of goalkeeper Castellazzi.

I am so happy for young forward 21-years old Bruno Fornaroli because he wanted to show that he can be a key player for Sampdoria too. Coach Walter Mazzarri gives him the chance to be in the starting line up and he scored the equalizer goal in the 48th minute! After an assist by Ziegler from a corner, Gastaldello heads the ball on the second post, then finds Fornaroli shooting the ball and equalizing the score.

Can you imagine the joy of Fornaroli? Wow, I was jumping of joy because he got his wish. Sampdoria was losing with a goal by Irmamtis Zelmikas in the 17th minute.  It took Sampdoria 48 minutes to open the score!  I love it because Fornaroli played like coach Mazzarri, "play as you do in trainings." hey and he did!  Plus, Fornaroli followed the advice from his buddy Antonio Cassano to be calm.  Interesting that Cassano gave him the advice in SPANISH!  LOL, well, Fornaroli says that Cassano loves talking in Spanish.

Second goal for Sampdoria arrives in the 58th minute.  Sampdoria forward Emiliano Bonazzoli  from the right side  beat defender Kalmitas to  blast Kaunas goalkeeper Kurskis.

Well done for Sampdoria!  In the overall Sampdoria had a rollerskating trip winning without a problem passing to the next round.  Aggreggate result Kaunas 1 - 6 Sampdoria. First leg won by Sampdoria with those famous 5 goals to nil.
