"I don't forgive You Cagliari President Cellino," Anna Italia from Italian Soccer Serie A

By Anna Italia

"Don't cry for me Cagliari, the truth is I never left you," that must be the lament of the whole Cagliari city.   I was doing my regular visit to all Italian Serie A Clubs official websites and when I read the open letter "Forgive us fans / Tifosi, scusateci" from Cagliari President Cellino, I said, "No, I don't forgive you."

Look at Cagliari's terrible situation being in the last position losing all 5 matches, scoring only 1 goal, conceding 10, having a negative goal difference of -9. Yet, Cellino asking fans to forgive them? No. I don't. The only reason why I am standing by Cagliari is for forward Robert Acquafresca and the players who are not guilty for having a proper direction and strategies.

I am a Milanista first, but also like Cagliari and knowing both teams will play against each other next Sunday, just make me sad because most likely Milan will beat Cagliari and that will worsen Cagliari's situation.

                            Cagliari President Cellino

I cannot forgive Cellino for not making the effort to keep coach David Ballardini and goalkeeper Storari.  Both expressed to have done their best to negotiate with Cellino because they wanted to stay with Cagliari for this season.  Yet, for a difference of few thousands euros, Cellino did not accept.

I was so upset about this situation because it was proven that Cagliari was saved since the arrival of "savior coach Davide Ballardini" now coaching Palermo, and goalkeeper Marco Storari, now second goalkeeper for Fiorenteina.

Making the matters worst, Cellino did not hire a top or an equivalent coach.  I have nothing against coach Massimo Allegri but he is pratically getting experience in the Serie A during this whole season.

Allegri was the coach of Serie C1 Sassuolo promoted to the Serie B, then, he was signed to replace Davide Ballardini?  Hello, knock, knock, anybody home... it is no wonder why Cagliari is at the rock bottom. The pre-season training was also a disaster losing terribly against Sporting Braga and Porto.

Sporting Braga 2 - 0 Cagliari goals by Aquiar and Jorginho
FC Porto 4 - 1 Cagliari

Let's talk about the present. It is just unbelievable but Cagliari has lost all their 5 matches in the Italian Serie A:

Week 1:  Cagliari 1 - 4 Lazio
Week 2: AC Siena 2 - 0 Cagliari
Week 3: Cagliari 0 - 1 Juventus
Week 4: Atalanta 1  - 0 Cagliari
Week 5: Lecce 2 - 0 Cagliari

I will forgive Cellino when he hires a top coach who can really help "to save Cagliari."  I doubt Allegri could do better... Let's not even talked about the goleada in the Coppa Italia Reggina 4 -0 Cagliari.  Oh, come on, Cellino, wake up and smell the coffee! You see only red numbers with Cagliari!

What do you think of Cagliari President Cellino's petition for fans to forgive them for their negative results?  Should he sack coach Massimo Allegri, yes, no, and why?
