What to say about Cagliari? Lecce who also needed to win to survive the relegation zone can smile with this victory at home in front of their fans after their defeat against Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza. A fact is that Cagliari President Cellino cannot ignore this "chaotic" situation where Cagliari lost for the 5th time! Simply put, out of the 15 points availabe in 5 matches Cagliari has 0 points... not won a single match!
Honestly, I was surprised when President Cellino declared that he was not going to sack Cagliari coach Allegri. I say, hello, knock, knock, anybody home? Cellino wake up and smell the coffee... you are in the rock bottom and wont' have much time to "save" yourself because your "savior" coach Davide Ballardini is no longer available.
Oh well, I am glad for Lecce coach Mario Beretta because he finally can have a moment to smile. The match against Inter was a tough one and Beretta proved it was not an easy victory for Inter to beat his Lecce. So, thumbs up for Beretta.
Is not that Cagliari did not try. They did have a good match and ball possession but no luck to covert goals opportunities.

Here is the starting eleven formation for LECCE by Coach Mario Beretta:
Benussi, Polenghi, Fabiano, Stendardo, Antunes, Ariatti, Zanchetta, Giacomazzi, Caserta, Castillo Tiribocchi
Here is the starting eleven formation for CAGLIARI by Coach Allegri:
Marchetti, Pisano, Bianco, Lopez, Agostini, Fini, Conti, Biondini, Cossu, Acquafresca, Larrivey
- In the 6th minute, it is Lecce to have the first clear attempt to score when Fabio Caserta provides the assist to Jose Ignacio Castillo. Cagliari goalkeeper makes a great save when Castillo right footed shot from the center of the box went directly to the bottom right corner. An early sign that "Lecce means business."
In the 14th minute Lecce Andrea Zanchetta provides an assist to Fabio Caserta who shoots from outside the box to the bottom right corner and Cagliari goalkeeper Marchetti makes a save!!!
Imagine in the 33rd minute, a clear moment for Cagliari to score when forward Robert Aquafresca provides the assist to forward Joquin Larrivey who shoots from outside the box and is blocked by Lecce goalkeeper.
Then, the chaos for Cagliari who were trying to score without luck. In the 34th minute, Lecce Guillermo Giacomazzi shots from outside the box to the bottom left corner blasting Cagliari goalkeeper Marchetti! wow... a cold shower for Cagliari fans and the glory for Lecce fans.
Lecce 1 - 0 Cagliari
In the 57th minute, Jose Castillo provides a headed pass to Simone Tiribocchi who shoots from the center of the box only to be saved by Cagliari goalkeeper Marchetti.
In an effort to give new strength to the team and equalize the match Cagliari makes two substitutions in the 59th minute: Andrea Cossu out, Andrea Lazzari in and Davide Biondini out, Jeda in.
Nothing to do, in the 62nd minute time to cry for Cagliari fans. Fabio Caserta provides the assist to Jose Castillo who shoots from close range to the bottom right corner blasting, actually shattering all hopes from Cagliari to win this match. Castillo blasted goalkeeper Marchetti.
Lecce 2 - 0 Cagliari
A great match for Lecce defender Gabriel Antunes not disappointing the trust from coach Beretta. Lecce's defense were active and not conceding a goal.
In the 62nd minute, Caserta again proving to be recovering his best shape by providing an assist to Jose Castillo who shoots from close range to the bottom right corner but Cagliari goalkeeper Marchetti makes a save. Can you imagine had Castillo scored another goal...
In the 70th minute, Cagliari had another chacne to score when Michele Fini provides an assist to forward Robert Acquafresca heading the ball from the center of the box to the bottom left corner and is saved by Lecce goalkeeper Benussi.
This victory arrives in a good moment for Lecce needing to start gaining points. A joyous moment for Lecce fans while Cagliari fans are devastated seeing their team lost in a chain of 5 consecutive defeats. Wondering if Cagliari President Cellino will still have coach Allegri until Christmas to eat the Panetone or whether he will be brave enough to sack him and get a better coach.
