Kaka versus Quaresma
Andriy Shevchenko versus Zlatan Ibrahimovic
It was the night of Ronaldinho...
While this Milan Derby is the first one for Inter coach Jose Mourinho, it is the match for the honor and tradition for AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Milan Owner and President Silvio Berlusconi's birthday is on Monday, September 29, Milan players promised Berlusconi a gift "to win the Milan Derby" will they do it?.... We will find out...... it will take 90 minutes... 90 minutes of agony. Here is Berlusconi making a toast before the beginning of the derby waiting to get his gift.
Statistics show ANYYONE can win. 68 victories for AC Milan, 68 victories for FC Inter and 61 draws.
Here is the starting formation for AC Milan by Coach Carlo Ancelotti:
MILAN: Christian Abbiati; Gianluca Zambrotta, Paolo Maldini, Kakha Kaladze, Marek Jankulovski; Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf, Massimo Ambrosini; Kakà, Ronaldinho; Pato.
Wow, guys, surprise with the option of Ancelotti for Ronaldinho instead of Andriy Shevcenko! Well, maybe he will be in the second half as a substitute. This is the day for Sheva to set his record with Mourinho like he said in the field by scoring. Also, noticed how Ancelotti opted for the "old guard" having only 3 new players in the starting lineup Ronaldinho, Zambrotta and Pato making his debut in this Milan Derby.
Here is the starting eleven formation for FC INTER by Coach Jose Mourinho:
INTER: Julio Cesar; Maicon, Nicolas Burdisso, Marco Materazzi, Christian Chivu; Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso, Patrick Vieira; Ricardo Quaresma, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Amantino Mancini.
I am so nervous with this DERBY DELLA MADONNINA, for Inter and Milan fans it means everything: Honor, tradition, who is who in Milan. Seeing beloved living legend AC Milan Captain Paolo Maldini playing his 55th derby is just amazing. It could be the last derby from Maldini before he retires. Also, seeing Inter Captian Javier Zanetti representing with honor this derby making his 601st appearance with JInter.
A derby representing 400th appearances from Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti in the Serie A and for Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati his 170th appearance in Serie A.
Referee Emidio Morganti whistles the beginning of the match. this ist guys, let's go.. 90 minutes to see who rules in Milan.
In the 36th minute, guys, a rainbow in San Siro for the rossoneri!!!! A Brazilian combination to start the SAMBA when Musica and Magia Kaka provides the assist to Ronaldinho who heads the ball blasting FC Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar... Everything Brazilian here!!!!! A roaring MILANNNNN can be heard in San Siro. What a debut from Ronaldinhoo in his first Milan Derby!!!

Amantino Mancini out, Adriano in
Marco Materazzi out, Julio Cruz in
Oh well, here is a decision I don't get Mancini playing better than midfielder Ricardo Quaresma and Mourinho substitute him? Hello... I am concerned about Julio Cruz because he might change the result in any minute. Forza Milan!!!! Go warriors!
A fierce duel between Julio Cruz and Massimo Ambrosini in an aerial battle. Ambrosini being one of the best in the field.
In the 74th minute, AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti makes his first substitutions! Oh no!!!! What is he doing? Pato is out, and Mathieu Flamini in. I don't get it. Pato was playing well!!!! Helloo...
In the 76th minute, wow, guys, unbelievable!!! Inter remains in 10 when Referee Emidio Morganti gives the second yellow card to Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso for a foul on Musica and Magia KAKA!
In the 83rd minute, AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti makes his second substitution. Ronaldinho out, Andriy Shevchenko in.
A great moment for Sheva and I hope he scores.
In the same 83rd minute, a crazy moment when I watched Referee Emidio Morganti running all the way from the field to the bench of FC INTER to give a RED CARD to Inter defender Marco Materazzi!!!! My goodness sake, Materazzi was already out of the game when Mourinho substituted him and getting a RED CARD while sitting on the bench. LOL, this is just unbelievable! Materazzi is now improving.. he used to get mostly Yellow cards now even RED CARDS. Oh well... too bad for Marco.
It's over guys!!!!!! MILAN HAS WON THE MILAN DERBY. Here the rossoneri thanks the fans in San Siro for their support, for believing in the team, for the constant chanting. You see who is taking the commanding voice to thanks the fans "GENNARO GATTUSO!!!" I love Gattuso, his drive, how he feels the love for Milan!!!
A great derby with Sportsmanship from both teams. Imagine just at the end of the match Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar and AC Milan forward Ronaldinho embraced themselves as friends. Wow, this was really cool guys. Dinho blasting Julio Cesar and both after the match return to be friends as always. Thumbs up!!!! Also, I like the shaking hands between Inter coach Jose Mourinho and AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Click the video to watch the interview of Ronaldinho after the match saying he dedicates the goal to all Milan fans because he feels at home everyday. Guys, Ronaldinho promised to bring JOY and GOALS when he signed for Milan and he is fulfilling his promise. For Ancelotti this was not just another match, it was the confirmation that Milan is back in business! Ancelotti beat Mourinho in the Tim Trophy and beat hims again today. Ah... let's not forget that Mourinho said that this "was just another match." Well... for me, this was the big difference.
This result guys put Lazio in the first position!!!!! You bet they were cheering for Milan to beat Inter.
Grab a piece of cake and celebrate if you were cheering for AC Milan. Cake was sent by Milan99
