Thursday, September 4, 208 - Third Day Training Italian National Team

Oh no, what is going on today???

Yesterday night I was so happy with the victory of my fitness role model Spaniard Tennis Player Rafael Nadal guaranteeing  to be the #1 until the end of the year with the points he won after defeating Fish.   Today... my happy mood just disappeared with the sad news that my beloved Italy and Juventus forward Alessandro Del Piero might be out of the 2010 World Cup South Africa qualifiers matches against Cyprus and Georgia.

Point is that "MR. DEL PIERO, scusatemi, il Signore Del Piero" had to be accompanied by Castellacci, the doctor of the Italian National Team, for  medical tests in Florence because he was having some pain in the abductors. So, this afternoon Del Piero did not train and is resting until the results of the tests are announced... this is not sounding optimistic... OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Italian Head Coach Marcello Lippi will make the decision whether to bring Del Piero or not to the first 2010 World Cup qualifier match against Cyprus.  Now, this is bad news.  Del Piero has been rocking during the entire pre-season and right now one of the most reliable strikers in the Italian National team, even better than Bayern Munich Luca Toni who barely started to score...

Well, I will trust Antonio "Toto" Di Natale after seeing his "showtime" against Palermo scoring 2 goals and showing signs of "Here, I am ready to shoot."
 Udinese 3 - 1 Palermo

Also, Italian Head coach Marcello Lippi called AC Siena goalkeeper Gianluca Curci after Palermo goalkeeper Marco Amelia was ruled out  to continue training for injury.

Do you think Del Piero will make it?

Oh please... deep inside me I rather see Del Piero recover and not playing if he is going to get worst and take longer to heal, but then, also, I want him to play because he is at one of his best scoring shape.. before this addutori pain.
